The dumbest argument against a 24 team CFB playoff is that it would damage rivalry week. Ask any NDSU/SDSU fan, who were always gonna be in the playoffs, whether or not that made their rivalry during the regular season mean anything less. Such. Lazy. Takes.

College athletics is so crazy now. Cal baseball, a team located on the Pacific coast but somehow in the ACC, flew to Charlotte, North Carolina for a single-elimination conference tournament game against Stanford… a school 90 minutes from their campus. They traveled 2,715 miles across the country to play a regional rival, lost one game, then had to hop on a 5.5-hour flight back to California 😂

Sadly, just qualifying for majors appears to be the ultimate goal anymore. His final round yesterday showed an almost total lack of focus and drive to compete. He started the day -1, one shot ahead of his good friend and infinitely tougher competitor, Justin Thomas, who found himself with the clubhouse lead most of the day after shooting -5. 10 strokes better than Fowler’s 75, who apparently has the yips when chipping from rough. And once again whose wedge game is not even competitive. Several years ago Butch Harmon told Rickie who was obsessed with his phone and his marketing gigs that he needed to choose between being a winner on tour or being a Kardashian. Rickie still hasn’t chosen the former.
