@HardNASCARPics The video leading up to this picture is even more heartbreaking 💔. You can “see” (even though he is still wearing his helmet) KBs joy when he realizes it was his son that jumped on his back leading to the pictured embrace!!

@BigDaddyCBell20 @bootybanjo I was actually thinking the exact same thing on my run this morning. Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers were the 2 that came to mind.

@bootybanjo Isn’t this kinda similar to current Aaron Rodgers? Won the championship along with a long run with one of the sports powerhouses. Later in his career, left to another team with hopes of finding more success, but ultimately hasn’t been the same since.

@GB9958 @ItsRobbAllen @BeksWineWhiskey True, but if inflation was actually the problem no one would be able to save. The fact is most people just lack self control and then place blame on things like inflation, which they can’t control, for their inability to control themselves.

My wife and I did the whole Ramsey thing when we were in debt and wanted to get out. The first thing we did was completely move to cash for everything possible. My wife had a habit of going to Target because she needed paper towels and coming home with two new outfits and some tchotchkes to put on the mantel. She then started taking just enough cash with her to pay for whatever it was that she wanted and took notes about the things she wanted to buy so we could budget for it later. We went debt-free, minus our mortgage, during a time when I was unemployed. During this time we would eat out maybe once every couple of weeks. We were doing heavy meal prepping, tons of coupon cutting, and watched our budget like a hawk. We still ate well and enjoyed life. My daughters never went hungry or without. Eventually it became such a habit that we no longer missed the hundreds of money-sucking crap that we used to spend on. But it took effort. And I'm just afraid too many people are looking for an easy button here to make everything better. That easy button unfortunately will make everything worse.
Dave Van de Walle@Area224

I have a different twist on this whole lunchgate/savingsgate/Boomer money thing: **Moving to cashless has really messed with people.** Dave Ramsey has talked about the psychology of paying with cash: you actually feel it when it leaves your wallet. And if you have, say, $40 in cash for the week and you blow $20 the first day, you then tell yourself...well, crap, I gotta do the value meal tomorrow...or...hmm, maybe I'll have to pack lunch. It's SO easy, now, to just...use the card and try to keep track on your digital wallet. AND it's easy to say, too, "well, I'll watch it." But if you can ping money from one account to another, or just put it on a credit card that you think you'll pay back at the end of the month — but you won't — then...it gets easier to just spend. @AndToddsaid raises a good point on affordability, and of course there are ways to save and scrimp, but moving away from paper makes it easier to put it on a card of some sort — debit, credit, whatever you've attached to your phone — and you're on your way. But if you don't feel it, you don't...feel it.

@cptdankkk You could easily do it with half of that or even less. 1 million in T bills and the rest in VTI or an S&P index fund. Live on T bills in down years and S&P in up years. He thinks everyone needs >$200k to be happy but most regular people need far less.

Kevin O'Leary says all you need is $5,000,000 to be secure for life "The discipline is get $5 million and put it in T-bills and just look at it. Don't touch it because if poo poo hits the fan, you're still good" "I roll a bunch of T-bills. That's my fuck you account and it always has been. I buy dinner with the interest"

@11_alv We stopped at one on our way from Dallas to San Antonio. It was nice but definitely not worth all the hype. Bathrooms were very nice and clean, lots of food options and souvenirs but at the end of the day it’s just a gas station.

@UltraRunner26 @MurrayHillGuy1 For comparison sake those pushups are like running the first 100 meters of a 5k then jumping on an e-scooter for 4800 meters then sprinting the final 100 meters 🤣

Lululemon just dropped a new batch of men’s running gear, and it actually looks like they’re getting more serious about runners. They’ve always had some running stuff, but this feels like a bigger push. The built-in phone pocket is a huge practical detail. Might need to test the 4-inch shorts. The 8-inch half tights look useful, but I’ll wait for the quarter tights.

@sib1013 @niccruzpatane Cybercab charges wirelessly. Only 2 seats vs 5 in M3. Range ~250 miles vs ~360 M3 Price $30k vs $37k M3 Full self drive with no steering wheel vs FSD option on M3 but also has a steering wheel for regular driving. Just some of the differences I’ve read

Everyone is going to want a ~$30K Tesla Cybercab when it becomes available, they just don’t know it yet. • Much safer than human driving. • No steering wheel or pedals. • Have the ability to legally sleep as it’s driving you to your destination. • Two-seater design, with tons of legroom • Great for elderly individuals who are no longer able to drive, as well as people with disabilities. • Work as are you being driven, or watch movies/play games. • Send off to run errands (pick up kids, pick up someone at the airport, etc). • The ability to add/subtract from the Tesla Robotaxi fleet to earn passive income. • You could buy a fleet and run your own business. • Send to pick up groceries, or other orders. • Have the ability to send home after getting dropped off your location, eliminating the need for parking. • Send for service autonomously when needed. • Autonomous Home Delivery • Virtually Zero Maintenance • $0.20 or less per mile operating costs • Wireless charging capabilities with well above 90% efficiency. This car will revolutionize the transportation industry and car ownership.

@mikeddonatelli 100% agree. 30-40 MPW is doable with work, family, and other life commitments but also enough to get you in pretty good race shape. The marathon 60+ MPW leaves little time for anything outside running, working, and sleeping.
