Had a hotel bar convo with normies last night. They were all history buffs, and they asked if I liked history… I told them I’m not a huge history buff but that I knew a lot about the history of money, the different types of money and how ultimately, central powers were always able to capture the money at the expense of the actual value producers in every society we’ve had etc. I pointed to the fact that money is a language that can direct the course of history more than any other factor They were all blown away that they knew so much about history but had never really thought about monetary history and how it constantly changed the course of humanity One person even said “oh are you into cryptocurrency and Bitcoin?” And I said, well yes this all does lead to Bitcoin as the first money that can’t be captured but I’m not going there, and stuck to monetary history. With their reactions, l guarantee that those 4 people left with an itch to learn more about the history of money Once you understand the history of money, you won’t have to pitch “Bitcoin” I’d even suggest to stay away from the word altogether and plant curiosity that ultimately leads to Bitcoin anyway

Look at this unhinged debt clock. The government is telling you: Money isn't real. We play Monopoly with your dollars on Capitol Hill. Protect your savings with money they can't print. This is why we Bitcoin.

Imagine you're John Carmack you're 22 years old and you just wrote a 3D engine in assembly that runs at 35fps on a 486 Doom drops. Quake drops. Half the planet is playing your code. you're the reason GPUs exist. you're the reason your friend Jensen has a yacht today. then in 2009, you sell id Software. people call it betrayal. you call it "they made an offer I couldn't refuse." VR obsession. Oculus. Meta buys it for $2B. you're CTO. but Meta thinks you're a liability. your demos are "too intense." your emails are "too long." your focus on frame timing is "slowing us down." 2022. they push you out. not fired officially. just "restructured." the media writes "end of an era." some crypto bro calls you "washed up." silicon valley moves on. but you don't. you don't write a book. you don't start a podcast. you don't collect speaking fees. you go completely quiet. you take the money. you buy a warehouse in Texas. you hire 10 engineers. and you start coding. not games. not VR. AGI. two years. radio silence. no tweets. no conference talks. while everyone's debating ChatGPT, you're debugging CUDA kernels at 3AM, testing world models. then in 2025, Keen Technologies pivots hard. you're not "exploring" anymore. you're building it. here's what people get wrong: everyone calls it a comeback. a redemption arc. "revenge on Meta." it's none of that. you're a 54-year-old engineer who still codes 12 hours a day because you genuinely can't stop. most CTOs would have bought an island. most legends would have written memoirs. you just kept typing. the most dangerous person in any codebase is the one who goes quiet and never stops shipping commits. karma doesn't need to be real. but obsession is. welcome back, Carmack.

this is actually insane > be tech guy in australia > adopt cancer riddled rescue dog, months to live > not_going_to_give_you_up.mp4 > pay $3,000 to sequence her tumor DNA > feed it to ChatGPT and AlphaFold > zero background in biology > identify mutated proteins, match them to drug targets > design a custom mRNA cancer vaccine from scratch > genomics professor is “gobsmacked” that some puppy lover did this on his own > need ethics approval to administer it > red tape takes longer than designing the vaccine > 3 months, finally approved > drive 10 hours to get rosie her first injection > tumor halves > coat gets glossy again > dog is alive and happy > professor: “if we can do this for a dog, why aren’t we rolling this out to humans?” one man with a chatbot, and $3,000 just outperformed the entire pharmaceutical discovery pipeline. we are going to cure so many diseases. I dont think people realize how good things are going to get

Man I hate to have to do it like this but I tried other avenues and cant get any traction. Would anyone be willing to let me display some of my art at @TheBitcoinConf in Vegas? I would really like people to have a chance to see them in person. I have to at least try

OMFG this is NOT good. Here's what most people missed watching this video 👇 They are beginning the propaganda for a draft. The interview got interrupted by an emergency Situation Room meeting. Scott left, came back visibly shaken and began talking (first thing) about how he will ENLIST his son. Something went bad in this war, maybe China is mobilizing, maybe Putin is escalating, or maybe they're planning a nuclear strike. Only time will tell. But the very FIRST thing he talks about is how "the military is great" and his son will enlist. This is the beginning of the propaganda machine. They are about to send you to fight this war.

I watched Bugonia last night and knowing the ending pretty much ruined it for me. I imagine not knowing the ending would have been fun. Liked it and if you don't know the ending would recommend. Preferered it vs Sinners, Marty, and one battle after another even still.
