Over a month still waiting for a refund for being seat downgraded...return trip from Toronto even had my wife and I in different middle seats...both directions the flight and trip disappointing. But reading the comments on these various posts, it seems to be expected from WestJet... As the email suggests...higher than normal...this is the new normal... "Dear valued Guest, We have received your request for a Cabin Downgrade refund. We apologize for the delay in assessing your claim as we are currently experiencing higher than normal volumes. Your patience is appreciated. Cabin downgrade refund requests are for guests who originally purchased Premium or Business fares and were downgraded to the Economy cabin due to a flight change made by WestJet."

Almost three months later, I strongly doubt that @WestJet has any intention of reimbursing passengers who were left stranded because of their flight cancellations. It left us out of pocket in -35 weather with no luggage for days. I’m appalled at their lack of comms and service.

I’ve spent far too much time on the phone to @Qantas this week for a myriad of reasons, but having to deal with them AGAIN at 1:30am this morning because of an 11 hour flight delay advised via email at 12:47am, wasn’t fun. I had just consumed a strong coffee after having 2 hours sleep when I discovered my 6:05am was now scheduled to depart at 7:00pm tonight. 🖕🏼 I’d venture to say ALL passengers who were due on that flight have had next to no sleep. Worse still, Qantas lovingly allocated me a much later flight when there was a mid-afternoon with ample availability. Why did they do this? Because they were selling fares for over $1,092 for this flight. And, yes, I’ve secured said flight at no extra cost because I was straight on the mobile to remind them of their obligations and ‘oversight’. 📲 While I’m here, and for added humour and venting purposes, 2 hours later Qantas were STILL advertising availability for the original 6:05am flight that was departing short of 11 hours later. Selling fares for a delayed flight is like me accepting same day romps in Adelaide when I’m still in Sydney. Make it make sense, please. Get it together, Qantas. It’s no wonder the ACCC are on your backside. I’ve reached my quota with your BS antics this week. 🤪

@USDOT Will you assist us if our travel date was in 2022? We are out $1000 for expenses incurred in Calgary on our way home to California. @WestJet lied to avoid compensating us and didn't even pay for damaged/delayed bags. We've been in a queue with the CTA for almost TWO years. Thanks

can’t believe the trip back took over 24 hours with @AirCanada I originally had a direct flight, changed to a layover in Toronto, then we had to stop in Miami after a 2hr delay, 2hr in Miami, Toronto flight cancelled, didn’t get a hotel until 1am in Toronto.. horrible experience!

Have spent most of the day with @vueling who have managed to take £20 from me! They gave me my full flight credit, but when I booked again managed to NOT give me the full amount and extracted £20+. I love this airline, but am out of pocket! Their online system is a joke.
