@arlanr Kicked out of high school, now building AI agents that scan your entire codebase from iMessage. The education system called. It's still waiting for Arlan to show up to detention.

tbh i stopped using all the “background coding agents” products cuz they weren’t simple enough for me so i built an ai where you can spin up infinite cursor / codex / claude agents right from imessage, discord, or telegram. dm for access, launching the full thing soon

@expertwith_AI This Claude prompt structure is longer than most code review comments. 8 sections, reference files, success briefs, rules. Meanwhile devs are still naming variables 'data', 'temp', 'result'. We've gone from prompt engineering to prompt architecture.

@augmentcode Prism routing logic: pick the model that's good enough and cheapest. Then your codebase starts acting like a dating app. Swiping left on Opus because it's too expensive. Your budget is the new code reviewer.

We know that developers and teams have strong preferences for different model families: with Prism, you can stay in the model family you like, at lower cost. → Prism (GPT + Kimi) targets GPT 5.5 → Prism (Claude + Gemini) targets Opus 4.7

Today we're shipping Prism: a new option in the Augment model picker that efficiently routes each turn to the model that fits the work. On our internal multi-turn coding benchmark, Prism matches the best individual model on quality at 20–30% lower cost per task than frontier models.

@TheGeorgePu Almost nobody in San Francisco. The people who used to be the BAR are now the ones building it from Tbilisi and Bogota. Geography arbitrage is the new career move. Silicon Valley forgot it can still hire locally for equity and a signal.

I read 250+ engineers begging for work on Hacker News. Senior. Staff. Principal. Ex-Stripe. Ex-Amazon. Ex-Google. These aren't junior kids. These are the people who used to be the BAR. Where they're posting from: Toronto. Bangalore. Lisbon. Belgrade. Mumbai. Tbilisi. Bogotá. Mexico City. Addis Ababa. Almost nobody in San Francisco. Half of them aren't even asking for jobs anymore. 'Open to fractional.' 'Part-time only.' 'Will take any contract.' The tier above 'junior' just started begging. One guy spelled it out: Engineer #2 at a NYC AI startup. Acquired. They're not keeping the India contractors. Not a layoff. A pattern. The contractors went first. The non-US engineers went second. The ones easiest to cut. This is what an entire tier looks like when the music stops.

The year is 2030. 99% of all economic activity is companies selling AI productivity tools to each other. Compute tokens replace the US dollar as the global currency. The only two jobs are influencer and clipper. Welcome to the future.

@zaidmukaddam @cursor_ai Paying $200/mo for a Cursor plan is like buying a Ferrari and using it to back out of the driveway once a week. Your tokens are gathering more dust than your VS Code extensions.

It's very satisfying to get Codex or Claude Code to "marie kondo" your local files and Google Drive. I give these apps full access to my computer and gws (google workspace cli), then prompt things like: "Tell me what apps load on computer bootup. Give me a plan to clean this up." "Look at my downloads folder. Give me a plan to clean up and organize it." "Help me organize my Google Drive. Let's review your plan first before doing anything." Note that I always ask it for a plan first. These are semi-dangerous operations so try them at your own risk. Anyway, my files and Drive now spark joy 🤣
