- In Lancaster County our team caught and stopped a suspected widespread voter registration fraud operation before the election. Then we had a press conference and put out the word to other counties so they could stop it too, even though the PA Dept of State refused to warn them. - In Lancaster County we rejected the crazy arguments by the Casey for Senate legal team to count illegal ballots in a 3-0 unanimous, bipartisan decision. The PA Supreme Court has again affirmed this position. - In Lancaster County we stand for the rule of law and fair elections.

What it looks like to be the #1 COUNTY IN THE NATION for preserved farmland. Dark Green = farms preserved by the Agriculture Preserve Board (a department of County government.) Yellow = farms preserved by the Lancaster Farmland Trust (a local non-profit organization.) Bright Green = farms preserved by other preservation programs. We still have more work to do to protect the future of Lancaster County, but we are also proud of the progress to date and thankful for those farm families who have preserved their land forever.

Recently had a chance to see the premier of A Great Awakening, the most recent movie by Lancaster County's own Sight & Sound Theatres. It is the story of the friendship between preacher George Whitefield, who was known for his dramatic preaching to large crowds outdoors, and Pennsylvania patriot Ben Franklin. It is opening nationwide tomorrow - don't miss it!

Proud of our Prison team for their work taking this organization from being troubled years ago to now being one that wins state and national awards, has a culture of life, and a culture of professionalism. Their efforts are an integral part of public safety work that happens across our county and one the reasons we have a very safe community. fox43.com/article/news/l…

Enjoyed spending time with Weaverland Valley Fire Department on Friday night for their 2026 Banquet. Appreciate having the opportunity to thank the volunteers and their families for their service to our community. There is no higher calling than serving others and running toward danger when neighbors are in need. They, and all the other volunteers in our community, are appreciated.

Interesting map posted recently by the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania showing population change by county from 2020-2025. You want to be a dynamic county where people want to live and that is having some growth, not a dying county like some in PA that sadly are experiencing rapid population loss. But you also do not want to be growing so fast that it causes disruption or hardship to citizens. Lancaster County is overall hitting that balance pretty well, although a lot of your perception can be based on where in the county you live and what you see every day. We are growing because it is such a great place to live and raise a family, but we are also not growing at the very rapid rate once predicted. While PA as a whole continues to lose population, Lancaster County is in a positive situation.

In Lancaster County we love our history (and our covered bridges.) It is 2026 and we are celebrating America’s Big Birthday - America250! Throughout our Nation’s history the citizens of Lancaster County have played a big part. Lancaster was settled by strong people in the 1600s. It became an independent county in 1729. It was the first county to be created beyond William Penn’s original three counties – Philadelphia, Chester, and Bucks. The first court session was held at Postlethwaite’s tavern on August 5th, 1729 and was presided over by John Wright. Successive generations of citizens fought for Independence, fought for freedom, and helped build our county into the greatest nation in history. Today, nearly 300 years later a lot has changed in Lancaster County, but some things are the same, including strong people. Join us this year as we celebrate! #America250 #America250PA

It is National Criminal Justice Month and a lot of what we do in County Government centers around public safety and criminal justice – prison, courts, DA’s office, 911, emergency management, sheriffs, park rangers, probation and parole, youth intervention center, public safety training center, and more. In Lancaster County we believe every family deserves to live in safety. Our County team works hard at this. So do law enforcement agencies across the county. And together we have delivered. 2025 was perhaps the best year for public safety in modern history. Lancaster County had only four criminal homicides in a county of over 560,000 people, which is the lowest of any 500,000+ population county in the nation. That is incredible. And there was lots of other incredible data as well. This is possible because: While other places defunded the police, in Lancaster County we fully funded law enforcement. While other places attacked law enforcement, in Lancaster County we support the police. While other places are putting illegal aliens above citizens, in Lancaster County we work with our federal partners including ICE so the laws passed by our elected representatives are enforced. While other places are letting career criminals run loose, in Lancaster County we hold criminals accountable. All citizens of Lancaster County deserve a safe community. That is what we work for every day. That is what we are delivering.

The American people are witnessing a full blown breakdown in the Senate. We have a piece of overwhelmingly popular legislation that still can’t get passed thru. This entire ordeal has exposed the failures of our system to truly represent the voters. It’s all so corrupt.

She wasn’t in the “wrong place” at the “wrong time”. She was an American college student taking a walk in public with her friends, which every American should be able to do without the fear of being murdered by criminal illegals. Sheridan Gorman was only 18 years old.

Good. Congress sets the “Time, Places and Manner” of elections under Article 1, Section 4 of the Constitution. States cannot turn Election Day into Election Week, and the American people deserve better than last-minute mail-in ballot “discoveries” that undermine public trust.

Lancaster County Farmland Nationalism 🇺🇸 Most of our Lancaster County farms are family run operations. And we want to keep it that way. Whether it is ensuring Lancaster County stays the #1 county in the NATION for farmland preservation or supporting the Next Generation Farm Loan program, we are working to preserve our family farms here. Food security is national security. Today at our weekly public work session, we discussed approval of six more next generation farm loans. That is likely a record for one meeting. I anticipate approval of these tomorrow at our Wednesday Commissioners meeting. This means more Lancaster County farms staying in the family for the next generation. It also means protecting Lancaster County and America.

Glad to join REAL Life Community Services for their banquet last night, along with Mayor Bryant Glick, Commissioner Ray D'Agostino, Mayor Rod Redcay and a couple hundred other friends! Real Life serves the Lancaster County community in numerous ways through their many different programs. We have an amazing community because of the many people who step forward to serve their neighbors, especially in time of need.
