Just a couple of years ago I snapped this image. Sir Tony Radakin the then Chief of Defence Staff, the most senior military man in the UK; taking a casual stroll from Downing street to the Ministry of Defence building. Just days ago we saw his colleagues making a similar journey, but this time hounded and harassed by those protesting at foreign wars and for ideological obsession. Its hard not to reflect on how far and how rapidly society has collapsed and whether today he would be able to make that short walk with nothing more than a bloke with a camera to contend with.

@Compo_Simonnite @BladeoftheS The God of the Hebrew scriptures is indeed the same God, and that's how we know that the Bible is NOT literally the Word of God. It is written by human beings who saw a God who was capable of evil - He isn't. Thanks largely to Protestant scholars we have changed a lot.

@Compo_Simonnite @BladeoftheS The Catholic Church also gave me a fantastic education. I decided to try to make school far better than it ever was for me. I have taught universal salvation for many years. I've also helped thousands of teens to believe in a God of Love and the power of kindness.

@Compo_Simonnite @BladeoftheS I'm a Catholic educator who was abused by priests when I was a kid, but I refuse to judge the Church by its worse members. There are also amazing people in the Church, many of them take a vow of poverty and make Catholic education and welfare possible. Sorry you can't see that.
