@SamMcGuire90 It seemed obvious from the start, not replacing Diaz. There's no pacey fighters on the wings who can win dirty ball and get in behind. Who on the team can you trust to beat a man 1 v 1. Not defending from the front either

Expected there to be teething problems this season. Can't change so much and not suffer some repercussions in the short-term. But this isn't that. Slot isn't helping himself here with most of these decisions.

I am going to tuck this away at the bottom of the thread as it is not something I feel ENTIRELY comfortable doing. But the month is September and time is moving. This has been a comfortable project and passion of the last 2 years, travelling and meeting an array of figures littered all over the UK. I’ve been working a normal full-time job and doing my best to cover the academy on the weekends which comes entirely out of my pocket. I am by no means doing the lords work. It is fun for me. I love it. The month is important as it marks the beginning of the new academy year. And I have decided to go to University to pursue a degree. I have my place and dropped working hours and therefore will be making a little sacrifice. In terms of this account, it actually means I can ramp up the extent of coverage and really take things where I need them to be in terms of quality due to the reduced working hours. I’m excited. I also grew up on a council estate in Yorkshire with just my mum so it does make me cringe to the holy heavens when I say this but if anyone would like to support in any way, shape or form then I would be genuinely eternally grateful. A new scholarship group has been introduced. As objectives are hit, top talent becomes evident in the sphere of fans with markers like first-team appearances or training involvement. But beneath that, will always be the ‘next up’ so to speak. Arne Slot’s phenomenal reign that knocked down the door of the Premier League was supplemented by a more selective hand-picked approach to the academy in which we are now seeing the real emergence of Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni. The bridge between the academy and the first-team remains ever important at Liverpool. Last year, this list featured Kornel Misciur and Kieran Morrison whom both have recently featured for Arne Slot’s first team.

Very stupid by Jasper. Clearly something was said to him that riled him up. Italian prop realised he had to target him, initiated it and then went straight to the ref to make sure Jasper was carded. Bit cowardly but you can’t dispute the call. That’s red.

@HartiganDenise @andymcgeady Because there’s a rule that says if you cause scrums to become uncontested you have to lose a man. It’s to stop teams feigning injury if they’re getting battered in the scrum.
