Orthodox images that go hard

The whole “we’re the one true church,” “NO, we’re the one true church,” “noooo, WE are the one true church” discourse between Catholics, eastern orthodox, oriental orthodox, etc, just makes me 1000x more certain of branch theory. The conversation just comes off as very juvenile and reeks of “‘I follow Paul,’ or ‘I follow Apollos,’ or ‘I follow Cephas,’ or ‘I follow Christ.’” (1 Cor 1:12) energy. It’s funny, because the main argument made against Protestants is that we’re so divided, but what you’ll find is that those of us who believe in branch theory are more unified with one another. We happily link arms with those whom we have secondary or tertiary differences with and affirm each other as brothers/sisters in Christ. And not under a false compromising ecumenism that ignores core doctrinal heresies and/or a rejection of the gospel, but in a real unified way that recognizes our unity in Christ and the gospel comes before ALL of our other differences. I can worship alongside a Presbyterian, or Lutheran, or non denominational, and know that I’m among the body of Christ on earth and our differences will be worked out in heaven. You also see this is undeniably true in all surveys too. Protestants are actually more unified on our beliefs in the gospel & core doctrines, as well as social issues.
