We do not pander at CSF. This is what separates us from most other orgs. We do not endorse or support candidates cause they may have the “best shot” at winning an election. Bilal’s record over the past month: 🗒️ Proposed a ballot measure to tax properties that are foreclosed (supported by Mayor Lurie) 🗒️ Proposed a ballot measure to create an Affordable Grocery Fund (tax on vacant properties that formerly were a grocer or pharmacy) 🗒️ Supported a ballot measure to set the framework for an MFC or Public Bank to be established See a theme?
Marie Hurabiell for Congress@MHurabiell

Reminder: You are being played. @ConnectedSF was pretty lonely in opposing the election of Bilal Mahmood. We did the research and concluded that he was not in any way moderate. So, how did he get elected? The AbundantSF (Todd David, Robin Pam, Zach Rosen, Scott Wiener) /GrowSF/ Wiener/ Breed machine anointed him. Bilal had been looking for an office for years. He ran for Assembly, then pushed hard for appointment as D6 Supervisor (when Haney failed up to Assembly). When Breed appointed Dorsey for D6 over Bilal, the "gang" (see above) told him to move to D5 so they could run him against Dean Preston. Why did they call him moderate? (To get $ & votes.) This machine then sold the voters that Bilal was "better than Dean" (questionable since he has promoted many of the same DSA policies as Dean), while they completely ignored actual moderates in the race. (Yes, they lied to you). SF voters need to understand that they are being played. This machine does not represent your values, they just need your vote to install a politician they think they can control. @garrytan has already called on Bilal donors (on X in Feb) to tell Bilal to stop doing the same things Dean has done. @TheMarinaTimes also did not endorse him and has been calling out his bad ideas. ConnectedSF's loyalty lies to YOU and to SF. Please don't turn over your vote to those who are only using you to gain political power. @sfstandard @TheVOSF @Twolfrecovery @sfchronicle

At ConnectedSF we will continue to fight for the Mission when it relates to street conditions and open drug use. Mission residents deserve better. San Francisco deserves better. We look forward to learning more about the 90-Day Plan as it progresses.

Below is some of what Mayor Lurie stated: - Routine patrol checks are up 56% at 16th St plaza and 34% at 24th St - Encampments down 8% at 16th St and 30% at 24th St - Deployed ambassadors (# was not revealed) - “Work will not be done” until residents and merchants feel safe

JUST NOW: Mayor Lurie’s monthly appearance at the Board of Supervisor’s meeting. He was asked by Supervisor Fielder about strategies and metrics toward efforts being made at BART plazas. Mayor Lurie touched on the 90-Day plan. Which is a coordinated effort across depts being led by OEWD to combat the crisis and street conditions that Mission residents feel, and are impacted by on a day-to-day basis.

Some statements from Supervisor Fielder: “Still getting complaints from constituents.” BART plazas are “top property for me (her).

We made the below comment last week. 5 days later maybe more common sense San Franciscans understand where we’re coming from? Trans March organizers showed up at City Hall today to grill Mayor Lurie. Exemplifies the far-left progressives/socialists “will not back down” until their demands are met. They are bullies.
ConnectedSF@ConnectedSF

@ResponderSF Agreed. If we could go that far with it, that’d be a win-win. Though these are the current battles we have to fight the progressives and socialists on. That’s why engaging and getting involved is important. The far left will not back down.

Seeing this is cringe. We already know MTA is accepting of homeless riding the bus. Why would they need to hire for these roles?

SFMTA says they can’t cut more from their budget. However “service critical” positions as defined in the Charter are estimated to represent $558 million of MTA compensation. Leaving $177 million of residual “non-critical” headcount expense. Where is the accountability?

San Francisco has pivoted toward recovery. And now, we're one step closer to funding drug-free supportive housing. Thank you @mattdorsey for championing this. We've been fighting for drug-free housing a long time. @HUDgov @MHurabiell @BayAreaCouncil

@Tenderloin94109 @KevinMBenedicto Good question. Regardless we encourage you to report every crime. SFPD uses reporting data to prioritize certain operations. Our guess is that reporting online would create such a backlog that it wouldn’t be effective in catching crime in real time?

@wmf68 100%. We aren’t YIMBY. We aren’t NIMBY. We’re pro growth and supportive of building more housing. Ex: We’re very supportive of the 3333-3700 California St Development. We’re not supportive of building housing for the sake of “Build. Build. Build.”

@ConnectedSF Without substantial rezoning (*much* more dramatic than what FZP did — I can't emphasize that enough) we will simply not produce the 300-400K units of housing needed to make SF truly affordable to the middle class. Reducing inclusionary is necessary but far from sufficient.

We were against the Zoning Plan. And we stand by that position. What we need to do to build housing are activities that will reduce costs. Ex: We were supportive of the reforms/reductions to the Inclusionary Housing Program. By reducing to 5% that’ll save 90k on average per unit. 👏. We understand the need for housing to be built.

@griffinlee415 @ConnectedSF You were against the Family Zoning Plan, which is less than 10% of what we need to do to make this city affordable. You endorsed the NIMBY candidates for BoS and a right-wing protest candidate for Congress. Stop pretending you're anything but right-NIMBYs.
