Ya know what’s funny I was remembering recently, is that when I saw this episode for the first time almost 20 years after its premiere, Michael was so synonymous with the idea of completely morphing one’s appearance by that point (I guess he was even when it premiered), that I thought there was implied ambiguity over whether the character was actually Michael Jackson, wrongfully thrown into an asylum. And the ending was just shtick he was doing.

He’s always acted pleasantly towards people and put out an incredible body of work that so many enjoy. He owes you literally nothing. And yeah, he could be pretty fairly characterized as elite, but from the merits of what he accomplished. Of every single human alive today, him and Buzz Aldrin probably have the greatest chance of being widely known still in like 500 years. Media fragmentation has guaranteed there will never be a band as big as The Beatles. His legacy won’t go away any time soon

@ConnorOB138 @ThomasConnorsJr It is definitely Kipp Lennon. I watched him record while MJ stood just off-mike, giggling. BTW, MJ did all the singing at the read-throughs and he was electrifying.

I’ve always heard different memories from people involved on whether it was actually Michael singing or the impersonator he wanted to “play a joke on his brothers”. But to me, when you really listen to it, it seems solidly clear that it’s not actually Michael singing? Probably wouldn’t notice if I didn’t have the backstory, but with that knowledge, I can’t hear it at all actually being him. Can you clarify whose tracks were used for singing?

I tried something a little different now. Mid-era Simpsons with 90's look. It helps that these episodes have the fake "cel animation" look with the shadows. After and before. I'm personally not that big on the way this turned out. It looks a little too old.

Yeah the other commenter is right, that’s like very widely understood to be a consequence of Clinton era policies. Not only that, his administration approached Congress like 15 times or something asking for a reform of Fannie Maye and Freddie Mac before the crash. They understood the potential economic fallout from all the subprime mortgage lending that had been pushed in the 90s.

GWB has to be the worst republican president in modern history. Lied to get us into Iraq and missed the 2008 financial crisis that nearly collapsed the economy…….ours and the worlds. As much as it pains me to say this, Al Gore might have been better on those two points even though he’s a climate hoaxer and generally an all around prick.

The interesting thing about George W. Bush is that despite not being a Trump supporter, he never let himself become a resist lib like many former "Bush Republicans". He's still very much a Republican. If I'm not mistaken he also supports John Sununu and Dave McCormick.

The second that’s possible, anyone will be able to do it. No “creators” will be making money off this, that’s a pure delusion. The Ai companies will sell subscriptions for content generators and they’ll make money. Right now, it takes a little bit of skill/effort prompting it until you get each shot right then you edit together. The second the technology is able to fully act out an emotionally engaging 100% natural looking feature length film, it will have evolved far enough that literally the least creative person in the world can get a subscription and type “make me a 50 episode series of a show that’s like mad men and Dexter” and it’ll spit it out at as high a quality as the best human creators could. Anyone who thinks there’s a future where prompters make their own movies solo with Ai and then gets them screened and makes millions is absolutely kidding themselves. Why would anyone watch their films when Ai can get to analyze your tastes and make the absolute perfect content for you?

@markgadala When will people stop generating these half-assed trailers and finally make a 2h movie, which releases in theaters and people actually go and watch it and the creator can make big buck for presumably so little effort? :)
