Banish is an amazing recycling program that recycles all the plastic your curbside bins can't, they even give you a $15 voucher when you send your rubbish to them!

I think this is a great way to build knowledge and understanding of the cycle that waste goes through first hand. I could also incorporate this into my #SDG13 unit as a part of reducing, reusing and recycling to fight climate change.

@jaymur44 We are talking mostly dolphins, turtles, seals, penguins and seals to name a few. Look it is a small percentage at the moment but it could be way more. It's very hard stat to track accurately.

A Planet Full of Plastic by Neal Layton. A book which talks about the amount of unnecessary plastic we use daily and how we can eliminate it. Literacy is such an important general capability to include in an integrated program! #SDG14 #literacy #recycle #UoNTeach #Educ4750

Companies such as @PlasticForests are creating garden beds made from 100% recycled plastic including consumer REDcycle plastics & takeaway cups from the Simply Cups recycling program. This will make a great case study for my sustainable garden project #SDG12 #EDUC4750 #UonTeach
