This feels like a Monty Python skit, but it actually happened in the Parliament of British Columbia, Canada. And if you laugh because it’s funny, they might put you in jail.

Here’s B.C. Conservative leadership candidate @iainblackbc making the argument that Democrats aren’t left wing. 🤯 And sharing his joy that Biden was elected. Can’t make it up!

Conservatives have generally made peace with the fact that lefties are obviously better at the arts. Lefties, by contrast, will ruthlessly destroy whole cities rather than admit that conservatives are obviously better at running them.

Politics in British Columbia is so gross. Conflicts of interest matter, whether perceived or full on. Ethics matter. Kerry-Lynne Findlay is the only choice, in my mind, to be the next leader of the BC Conservative Party. Hold the line. Keep moving 🫡👊🕺💃

Here's the main problem with framing this as a conflict of interest: What's the remedy? Are we to accept that having familial ties to someone who is "indigenous" (really, really broad category with hundreds of recognized governing entities who often have financial and legal interests that are adversely aligned to each other, as well as to other private interests, as well as other levels of government) as being broadly unqualified to serve in leadership positions? Not enough people are thinking through the necessary implications of what is being asserted, and how that will be interpreted more broadly by the general public... #bcpoli

FRANCES WIDDOWSON is the most bad ass woman in Canada. You won’t believe this. A leftist activist production company drew her under false pretences into a CBC studio for a fake interview and then dumped children’s shoes on a table in front of her, the hoax was supposed to somehow shame her or catch her saying something false or embarrassing. Hit backfired. Widdowson asks for her bag because her medication was in it and then grabs her phone and turns it on the fraudsters, interrogating the smarmy ring leader who shrinks into his chair like the worm that he obviously is. Was the CBC involved in this attempted character assassination? How much money did this all cost?
