Because on our ConservativesOf.com Voter Guide, we designate it as a Primary (Not General) Election Voter Guide in which we only mention the name of our endorsed candidates in contested races, with few exceptions. If races are uncontested, even though we will endorse a candidate for the General Election, we will often put "Uncontested Incumbent" instead of their name. VAC has determined to mirror our Voter Guide for most races, but has made different designations, and also included General Election candidates including Democrats on what they intend to be a Primary Voter Guide, which they intend to correct. In our conversation with them, it was agreed that if their Voter Guide is to accurately reflect our Voter Guide on our website, they need to use the same language and the same formatting as we do in order to avoid confusion as to what our intentions are.

So the correction is forthcoming. Good. But the real question still hasn't been answered: why is a Christian voter guide telling Christians to sit out races where conservative Christian Republicans are running against Democrats? Not just my race. Many races. Nobody's actually explained that yet. Anyway, I'll leave it there. Fish aren't going to catch themselves.

The plot thickens... (see shot/chaser) so, if I'm understanding this correctly, donors giving money to "Conservatives of Idaho" (@ConservsOf_Id) think they're funding a Christian voter guide. They're actually just funding a proxy for a secular libertarian/anarchist think tank. Shouldn't a Biblical voter guide be based on, I don't know, biblical values? Actual votes on actual issues? Instead it's just IFF's libertarian scorecard with a cross slapped on it. Who's running this thing??

We've been told by VAC that putting "ABSTAIN" instead of "Unopposed Incumbent" while including General Election candidates & not designating it as a Primary Election Voter Guide was a mistake if it is to align exactly with our Primary Voter Guide on our ConservativesOf.com website. We've been told a correction is forthcoming on the VAC website.

You put your logo on a guide telling Christians to abstain from voting for a Republican while a Democrat is on the same ballot. The explanation about VAC formatting and General Election candidates and case by case vetting is impressive in how much it says without touching that. Christians in District 13 opened your guide looking for direction and got told to sit it out. Your logo on it and everything. And honestly the apology is something. "We apologize for any misunderstanding of our intentions." There's no misunderstanding. The guide says ABSTAIN. Next to a Republican. With a Democrat right below. I can read it, voters can read it, and no amount of explaining how the VAC guide differs from the website guide changes what it actually told people to do. Your logo is still on it.

I just got off the phone with @ConservsOf_Id and @sanders_wi83147 There is a difference between Conservatives Of and Value Advocacy Council in Idaho. VAC takes a bunch of Conservatives of content and they are affiliated (hence the logo on the biblevoter.org site). The Neil guy emailing Lenney IFF scores is VAC, not conservatives of. They did indeed abstain. Conservatives of however did not. Conservatives of fully intends to endorse Lenney in General and in future. He did admit that IFF scores are incorporated in their overall metric (which I told him all my IFF reservations and that it shouldn’t weigh as much) but it’s not their only metric and they’ve split with IFF on multiple races. They did abstain on Ben Adams though, bc he didn’t meet their metric. They said they met with Ben’s opponent and was not impressed. So they just stayed out of that race. They also said they “wouldn’t have emailed Lenney an IFF score, and even by their metric/that IFF score, Lenney is STILL the conservative choice” Below is conservatives of on the left and VAC on the right.

I want to thank ConservativesOf for hosting, and Colleen George and Winston Sander for being gracious enough to allow me a few minutes to speak. Last night I took my time to explain why I’m in this race until Rep Boyle is unseated. Yes I spoke with passion, and with a directness not often found in our politics. Yes this is emotional for me, the weight of the sacrifice of my brothers is ever present in my life. I refuse to allow a lawmaker who proposes to all that she is a conservative run away from SJM 101. Her sponsorship of the memorial will be a millstone I chain to her campaign and one that should drown her chances of winning. Any lawmaker who wishes to sell of our children’s birthright for cheap labor MUST be opposed at every turn. Support for amnesty should be a death knell for any Republican in Idaho. It is a time for choosing District 9, you can choose someone who’s a bit too brash and regrettably uses foul language to often, but will always fight for freedom and to protect our way of life or you can choose someone who’s nice and speaks softly, but is willing to give over Idaho to foreigners for campaign donations. I’m asking you for a chance to earn your vote. I’m not perfect, but I’ve proven through actions I am willing to bleed, sacrifice, kill, and die for you and your posterity.
