@SeanBormanNFL You really going to say that with a straight face that any of these guys are capable of starting week 1? Give me a break. Brandel is a backup at best.
The Vikings have plenty of options at center right now:
1️⃣ Blake Brandel
2️⃣ Michael Jurgens
3️⃣ Gavin Gerhardt
4️⃣ Vershon Lee
5️⃣ Delby Lemieux
Who’s your C1? What do you want this depth chart to look like by Week 1? 👇
With Skyler Bell off the board, I'd be shocked if the Vikings go WR in the 5th round. Jeff Caldwell is far too raw to be a WR3, and the rest of Minnesota's visits with receivers are 7th round/UDFA guys. CJ Daniels in the 7th is the move, and you go out and sign De'Andre Hopkins.
@FBallAnalysisYT Fascinating that Hecht and Emmitt Johnson are still available at the end of the 4th. Surely there is info that teams have that we don’t?
I want to see how this ages over the next few years specifically for my own draft evaluations and also to see how these picks would age if I were a GM making the picks
The Vikings selected Caleb Banks in the first round and Domonique Orange
in the third round and I can see the vision with these players. I love the concept of getting bigger in the trenches and being the more physically dominant team
For the sake of this, I will keep those selections and discuss the other selections in the top 100
At pick 51 where the Vikings selected Jake Golday I would have selected Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
At picks 97 and 98 I would have selected Emmett Johnson and Sam Hecht rather than Caleb Tiernan and Jakobe Thomas
The goal of this is to see how this ages over the next few years and see how these players pan out
Whenever you criticize a teams selections as an analyst there’s usually a lot of pushback along the lines of “imagine thinking you know more than an NFL team” and I don’t claim to know more than anybody - I just want to see how this specifically ages over the next few years with what I personally would have done if I were in the GM’s chair
@2HighCoverage You and I see Faulk the exact same. His sack cut-ups are horrendous, lots of extended plays and other players pushing the quarterback his way. Absolutely no pass rush bag
Players left on the board at each position I wouldn't mind seeing the Vikings grab.

@KalebNFL Maybe he’s supposed to be a swing guard with tackle flexibility in emergency situations? If Brandel is starting center it certainly would be a need
NFL insider Matt Miller, 3 days ago:
"the Vikings will target players with higher college production over potential or traits"
Vikings actual board at 18:
Kenyon Sadiq: freak athlete, 869 career receiving yards
Caleb Banks: freak athlete, 6.5 sacks over 5 years in college
@WillRagatz It just goes against what they said their process was going to emphasize this year-production vs upside. He obviously has a high ceiling but does not have production. He had flashes in 24 and was hurt most of 25. We will hope for the best but they didn’t do what they said.
The risk level is elevated, for sure. No question about that.
But Caleb Banks has size and athletic tools that simply cannot be taught. If he’s healthy and reaches his ceiling, he has game-wrecker potential.
Players I would have taken over Caleb Banks:
- Makai Lemon
- Dillon Thieneman
- Jermod McCoy
- Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
- Peter Woods
- Lee Hunter
- Christen Miller
- Kayden McDonald
- Omar Cooper Jr
- KC Concepcion
- Jacob Rodriguez
- Colton Hood
- Chris Johnson
- Avieon Terrell
What is your hottest take pertaining to the 2026 NFL draft? I want to revisit this in a few years and see how the takes age
I’ll start:
Kevin Coleman from Missouri is going to be one of the bigger steals from the class
Kayden McDonald at 18 is pretty much the same ideology as Donovan Jackson at 24. Good players, position of need, but probably a reach considering the value of what else is available
I don't like it. This is a pick Kwesi would make. There are better players on the board
