🤦‍♂️ That’s really unfortunate. It seems like there was definitely a localized area of more intense damage where you were and idk but to me the trees being snapped in the middle like that, to me, says tornado. The other thing I noticed in your video is just the succession of the power flash first, and the barn roof happening after, locally, almost as if something isolated caused one event, and then the other. Again pushing me towards tornado.

@Core_Puncher @NWSStateCollege Unironically that is kind of what worries me especially specifically where I was. I didn’t see anybody else reporting and doing coverage on it. Only saw myself most of the morning and PM hrs. Also most of these properties are Amish owned, and are RAPIDLY getting cleaned up…🤷‍♂️

I hope they send a survey crew out! I noticed Mount Holly confirmed two tornados today, one in MD and one in DE. It’s entirely possible it was a tornado! I would purely be guessing personally but if there are other confirmed reports in the general area, I think that raises the likelihood a lot!

That’d be a pretty epic place to watch a storm from, albeit dangerous and it would need to be daylight.

More daylight footage from properties along white horse RD, GAP PA from the destruction of last nights storm. Multiple barn roofs sustained significant damage to atleast one half of their frame on multiple properties. @NWSStateCollege #pawx

It is the clarity that suddenly arrives with it.

@ContentWxGuy I think what you described makes perfect sense. I was wondering weather it was moisture too but given this is such a narrow path, I doubt it. We had a good 6” for weeks and weeks and it was brutally cold.

@Core_Puncher Noted some mused it was moisture related so I felt to share what we see. The snow insulates from those very cold nights so the turf stays active. Exposed areas feel the exact cold overnight temps and the turf goes dormant (brown) to protect itself, shed bladed conserve roots.

Snow covered grass was thermally insulated and remained green. Earlier cleared exposed region went dormant brown upon feeling the colder temperatures.
