Good morning @PhilaParking, does this no truck parking sign apply to commercial truck vehicles only? Thank you

@HighRiseUnit Are you referring to a building that is only outfitted with class II outlets? My concern in this setup would be adequate GPMs for a 2.5” hose line coming off a class II. I would prefer to stretch back to a class I outlet if available. Thanks for the response

@CoreyHullings 2.5” is the only choice for these low-pressure systems. I'm not a fan of class 2 systems but we have very large and tall buildings with them. We will have to be prepared to stretch from the truck, pump the ground floor cabinet or perform an improvised standpoint.

Both systems are identical class II models and require an increaser of 38mm to 65mm (1.5” to 2.5”). Depending on the workspace available in the cabinet, we offer two elbow options: a green 60° elbow with a diameter of 38mm (1.5”) or a yellow 60° elbow with a diameter of 65mm 2.5”

@DrMichaelKinsey Dr Kinsey; I’m looking for permission to use this video for training. Do you have origin of this video so I can give credit?

A video showing people evacuating a high rise fire in China. The large majority of people in the clip are watching their mobile phones as they evacuate. Not ‘quite’ how people are assumed to behave in most fire codes.

@SunCoastChief It’s possible this is A. Their policy on commercial buildings B. A leader line being used to offset the setback from parking lot/street C. Being selected for a condition that is much worse in another part of the building, only presenting light smoke from front

Light smoke showing from a (likely sprinklered) restaurant. Don’t think my call would have been for a 2-1/2

Yep local FD. That for a FF/PM. They have a “step plan”. It’s one step, and $81k is the cap. Not, uh too bad…

@Tcorreia @romduck Starts at company level with supervisors acting on signs and trends and not sitting on their hands. All to often we cover up until it’s too late. Sometimes you have to be the brother that no one wants, but they will thank you later on.

2 more probable firefighter suicides recently. What programs do you have in your dept? Peer Support? EAP trained on emergency services personnel? Do you have a Taking Care of Your Own Program? It’s easy to see a broken bone, it’s not easy to see emotional pain and suffering.
