Jeff says he will carry Walt Disney World’s memories with him. That is fitting, because under his leadership, guests increasingly had to rely on their memories of how good the resort used to be before he got his hands on it. His legacy will be one of destroying Splash Mountain; the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade; the Rivers of America; Tom Sawyer Island; the Liberty Square Riverboat; Muppet*Vision 3D; It’s Tough to Be a Bug; TriceraTop Spin; The Boneyard; DINOSAUR; and ultimately all of DinoLand. Long after the corporate farewell is forgotten, his name will be remembered as the person who presided over the destruction of the parks. I think we should dedicate the rusted metal "trees" in Epcot as a fitting monument to all he accomplished.

Today is Jeff Vahle’s last day as Walt Disney World President. “On my final day as Walt Disney World president, I am reflecting on what a journey the past 36 years have been. I have been fortunate to work around the world and help bring new projects and parks to life, from opening Disney’s Animal Kingdom to helping build Shanghai Disney Resort, supporting new growth for Disney Cruise Line and planning an exciting future for Walt Disney World. It truly has been the best job in the world. Beyond those milestones, what I will remember most are the people and the memories we created together – the Cast Members, Guests and Central Florida community members who made every day so special. It has been a privilege and an honor to lead Walt Disney World, and I will carry this place and these memories with me always.”

Last night, @seattlestorm co-owner Celeste Keaton cursed out two teen girls for wearing @xx_xyathletics shirts, calling them "f*cking insane." One of them was left in tears. I tried to get security involved and was told I should email the front office.

@realDonaldTrump I'm going to say it, since a lot of people are thinking it but are too worried about their online perception to vocalize it. This is not worthy of the highest civilian honor. When you award medals and honors to lesser acts of heroism, you devalue the award itself.
