Los Angeles voters on @spencerpratt: "I think he'll do well. He seems to care, and he's a very friendly person." "With everybody feeling just very frustrated with how Karen [Bass] has ran the city for the last four years, it's time for a change, and the change is Spencer."

Visibly Jewish woman and her children, waited for green light on pedestrian crossing, on Leicester Road, Manchester, when a driver, pulls over whilst his light was green, but steps on accelerator when it’s red. He clearly tried to run over this Jewish family in Manchester.

@bestofbreakin Stupidist scene in the whole show. Mike would never have let his guard down like that, based on how careful and resourceful his character had been the whole series. That scene never made sense to me.

Mike’s murder is the moment Walter White stops being able to justify himself. Before that, Walt could still pretend his violence was about survival: Krazy-8, Gus... But Mike was different. Walt killed him because Mike hit the weakest part of Heisenberg: his ego.

My kids, who are Gen Alpha, think AI is really lame. And I don't think they are thinking about job prospects. They just think it makes you dumber if you use it and that anyone who uses it is lazy.
Michael Galpin@michaelg

@TheStalwart Zoomer hate of AI is real. The more educated/left, the stronger the anti-tech sentiment in general.

Lurking behind much of the AI anxiety and opposition we're now seeing is a creeping suspicion that the people building out its infrastructure and deploying it in our economy don’t actually have our best interests in mind. thefederalist.com/2026/05/19/dat…

I tell my students that they have to use AI to help write papers. I give them guidance on how they can effectively do this. I think I'm giving them more practical help than if I forced them to write without AI. This past semester, one student even asked me if she had to use AI and I said yes.

Editing your genAI paper is just not worth my time, labor, or expertise. I hope that scholars wholeheartedly agree to simply stop peer reviewing papers that use genAI, stop providing line edits, stop engaging with content edits. You could not pay me enough to edit a bot

The deadline is extended until Wednesday, June 10th and the prize fund is now a wapping £500. Tax free. Hard, dirty cash. See details below… We are delighted to announce the return of our new writing a competition, The Agon 3. We’re looking for daring and challenging voices. We do not care who you are and where you are from. Nothing is off limits. Send no more than 10-12 pages from your play and a synopsis to - thebasecreates@gmail.com We give you the right to anonymity, if you so choose and if the spice is too much. If you want to stand and face the vicious public we welcome that too and we will stand right beside you. When the deadline closes we will choose 6 finalists and these play extracts will be performed by incredible actors to a live audience who will vote for the winner that night. This is what happened in Athens 2500 years ago and this is what is happening in London in 2026. So get writing, take your filter off and express yourself. This will be an incredible night and a great opportunity for developing writers. There is a cash prize to be announced very soon and entry is free. The very best, The Base

I have firm parameters around how I use tools like Grok because of a big concern I have about what we’re giving up when we outsource our creativity and critical thinking to AI. I think we’re surrendering part of what it means to be made in God’s image when we trade our reason for convenience. AI isn’t always evil, but I think we have to be very careful about the power we give it. These are my 5 reasons for why Christians should be restrictive about our reliance on AI, both for ourselves and our kids:

@HenryHonto Tone deaf commencement speakers are the ones that seem hypnotized. 'AI is the future; use it or else' The pushback seems genuine and polling of the general public (not CEO's or tech insiders) reflects it. AI is not popular.

Michael O'Fallon - Sovereign Nations
Friends, there is a "gospel" now being preached by the high priests of Silicon Valley, the transhuman laboratories, and the technocratic managers of the coming global order. They promise a new world awaiting mankind - a world without scarcity, where every human desire is algorithmically fulfilled through limitless technological abundance. A world beyond nation, beyond conflict, beyond history itself. They preach a synthetic fraternity where war disappears, not because of the redemption of man, but because humanity itself is absorbed into systems of total surveillance, predictive governance, and machine integration. And at the center of this eschatology stands the final promise: immortality. Not the resurrection proclaimed by Jesus Christ, nor the eternal life understood within Biblical Christianity, but digital perpetuity through the Apostles of the Singularity. This is not merely technological optimism. It is a counterfeit religion - an engineered metaphysic - where salvation comes not through God, but through digital synthesis; not through sanctification, but through augmentation; not through the soul, but through the imputation of artificial intelligence into your brain. This is the very core of what I have been publicly warning everyone about since 2016. Every other major ideological and geopolitical event funnels down to this attempt at the greatest meta-system transition in the history of our planet.

@AlexFinn AI is popular amongst CEO's and the tech elite. Yes, people use it (in many cases they have no choice) but polls show it's unpopular with the general public. Booing makes a lot of sense coming from college graduates facing the job market, energy and housing prices, etc.

Scariest video I've watched this week America's next generation actively booing the most transformative technology our species has ever seen In China grandmas line up to get OpenClaw installed In America, supposedly our most educated people BOO even the mention of AI The west simply does not stand a chance if this continues We have a massive AI marketing problem in this country and nobody is doing anything to fix it Tomorrow Meta will announce 8,000 layoffs. They will blame it completely on AI They won't blame it on their irresponsible hiring in 2021 or extended elevated rates or horrible market conditions or bad inflation No, in order to not tank their stock, they'll blame it on AI College students will read that and learn to HATE the technology They'll protest outside datacenters holding ridiculous signs that say "SAVE OUR WATER NO MORE DATACENTERS" Politicians will see this and run on blocking data centers just to get a few votes All of it will be a cycle that leads to America losing to China This should be a warning sign to all frontier labs and CEOs: messaging matters. And if your messaging doesn't change the West is cooked

3 commencement speakers were booed at the mention of Artificial Intelligence (Video) 1. Eric Schmidt, Google CEO 2. Scott Borchetta, Big Machine Records CEO 3. Gloria Caulfield, Tavistock Development VP

The kids are fine, this was a bad speech by a bad speaker who didn’t think about what he was saying. The chancellor at my undergrad graduation said “don’t try to change the world.” It was a bad speech. College graduation speeches should be hopeful and inspiring. It’s a celebration.

The kids are not alright. When @ericschmidt talks about AI, people should listen. He is a deep thinker, true innovator, and a truth teller about what's happening in tech -- and more tuned into AI's impact on society and cultural fabric than most of the ruling class. We can't let AI become yet another topic where people dig into their identity-informed polarized corners, and shout and jeer at those on the other side.

The kids are alright!! Former CEO of Google Eric Schmidt gets booed every time he mentions artificial intelligence during his commencement speech at the University of Arizona. This generation just may save humanity after all.

@bencasnocha @ericschmidt Shoehorning AI into commencement speeches -- the goal of which is to celebrate and speak to human achievement -- doesn't seem to be helping.
