I've officially had my first confirmed contact with a covid carrier. I'm double vaxxed, diligently wear my mask and clean my hands, don't touch my face, and have extremely limited socializing. I'm still getting tested and isolating until results. #doyourpart #youplaguerats

Yes. The Nuremberg Code of 1947 Number 1 in the code was breached very clearly by the @bcndp government and other governments around the planet. #bcpoli @Conservative_BC @JohnRustad4BC The Nuremberg Code 1947 1. The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, over-reaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion, and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted; all inconveniences and hazards reasonably to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment. The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity. 2. The experiment should be such as to yield fruitful results for the good of society, unprocurable by other methods or means of study, and not random and unnecessary in nature. 3. The experiment should be so designed and based on the results of animal experimentation and a knowledge of the natural history of the disease or other problem under study that the anticipated results will justify the performance of the experiment. 4. The experiment should be so conducted as to avoid all unnecessary physical and mental suffering and injury. 5. No experiment should be conducted where there is an a prior reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur; except, perhaps, in those experiments where the experimental physicians also serve as subjects. 6. The degree of risk to be taken should never exceed that determined by the humanitarian importance of the problem to be solved by the experiment. 7. Proper preparations should be made and adequate facilities provided to protect the experimental subject against even remote possibilities of injury disability or death. 8. The experiment should be conducted only by scientifically qualified persons. The highest degree of skill and care should be required through all stages of the experiment of those who conduct or engage in the experiment. 9. During the course of the experiment the human subject should be at liberty to bring the experiment to an end if he has reached the physical or mental state where continuation of the experiment seems to him to be impossible. 10. During the course of the experiment the scientist in charge must be prepared to terminate the experiment at any stage, if he has probable cause to believe, in the exercise of the good faith, superior skill and careful judgement required by him that a continuation of the experiment is likely to result in injury, disability, or death to the experimental subject.

The BC Conservative leader is looking to "clarify" his comments after video surfaced of him responding to questions about "Nuremburg 2.0," the idea health officials should face trial over their COVID-19 response. READ MORE: trib.al/OBhZcoR trib.al/OBhZcoR

Nonsense. The MAGA movement has been building for more than 8 years. Slow is steady, steady is strong. The Tampon Tim and Willie Brown's Hoe movement/enthusiasm started two weeks ago. Fast is fragile. The enthusiasm for Tampon Tim and Willie Browns Hoe will collapse before the end of September. America is moving forward with Trump. A president who's not afraid to press on even while facing gun fire and being shot. Even while facing judicial tyranny and being convicted of false crimes. Even after having his home raided, the target of political retribution and a gestapo DOJ.

@brenda_inbc @PPC4Liberty @CBCNews I want to live in a nation where poverty doesn't mean starvation We are far closer to getting help from the government for urgently pressing issues than to ending the wealth divide It is highly unlikely (read, impossible) to do that under capitalism. S, let's not starve kids

I’m not great at self promotion, but I did a deep dive into what’s really happening in #Florida under DeSantis a couple months ago, and the NewYork frickin’ Times just did a puff piece about him today. Compare the efforts and tell me independent work isn’t so essential right now.
The New York Times@nytimes

Ron DeSantis would be 46 on Inauguration Day if elected, younger than every president since John F. Kennedy. It's a stark contrast to his main rivals, President Biden and Donald Trump, and his campaign has set out to make sure voters get that. nyti.ms/3Jlitn5

It is crazy how the antivaxx just don’t give up. They promised mass extinction events, widespread infertility, mutant babies. None of it happened and they’re still duping some of the richest, most gullible men on earth.

I truly believe this is one of the most important things anyone has ever said about Elon Musk. The quote below summarizes perfectly how much his presence in the public sphere wastes everyone’s time and is on many occasions profoundly dangerous as well as premeditatedly dishonest.

If @joerogan wants to invite @PeterHotez for a solo show, that’s fine. But Rogan 100% cannot demand Dr Hotez debate anti-vax king RFK Jr. —asking Hotez to debate the worst anti-vax disinfo dude is akin to Rogan demanding @HolocaustMuseum debate Neo-Nazi Holocaust deniers! No way!
Prof Peter Hotez MD PhD DSc(hon)@PeterHotez

Let’s remember what this is about, not a small number of Americans lost their lives from antivaccine disinformation during the pandemic. 200,000 Americans perished, 40,000 from my State of Texas I have nothing personal vs Joe, Elon, RFK Jr. Just hoping to halt more destruction

They aren’t attacking him. They are offering him a platform from which to explain his “science”. Sometimes the very appearance of impropriety is just as bad as the impropriety itself. What we need is more transparency and less arrogance. No one would fault a research doctor for making an error, but people are tired of the constantly shifting narrative and acting as if they did nothing wrong. Telling people the COVID vaccines would prevent you from getting it was a lie or an error. Telling them you needed the vax to prevent you from spreading it was also a lie or an error. Trying to influence politicians and businesses to put in mandates was a lie or an error. Pushing the vaccine and boosters on those that were more than capable of fighting it off on their own was irresponsible. Mistakes were made. They should own them and move forward if they want the respect and trust from society.

Reminder: Dr. Peter Hotez is not the first scientist Elon Musk & the right have attacked. Never forget their cruel attacks on Dr. Fauci — so cruel that Dr. Fauci needed security & had death threats sent to him. They know *exactly* what they're doing & it's beneath contempt.

@TOPDOGE007 @Victorshi2020 Stalking world recognized experts to try and bully them into debating a hack with a complex and a microphone could be considered unacceptable behavior though. I'd even dare say. An attck

The threat to Dr Hotez’s life is real. Example—a hoard of anti-vaxxers sponsored by RFK Jr’s org swarmed @PeterHotez & I at the Vaccine World Congress in Washington DC Convention Center. Security sprung to action & pushed back. ➡️@joerogan needs to not incite stalking/violence!
Eric Feigl-Ding@DrEricDing

3 years into the pandemic… I finally meet my hero Dr @PeterHotez. We have lived through a lot of anti-vax attacks / COVID-denialism hate & death threats together. Still advocating for next-generation vaccines & mitigations—pandemic isn’t over. This guy is indefatigable. LFG ✊🏼

Rogan is a prime example of a hack with a complex and a microphone being listened too as if he knew something important. We listen to scientists because of their many years of study, many years being a specialist in their field. Rogan is a bad joke with a mic
Ian Copeland, PhD@IanCopeland5

I want people to see how crazy this has become. We have comedians like @joerogan being seen as the experts on science. We are entering a world where antibiotics won't work and pandemics will become yearly events. The erosion of expertise will yeild deadly dividends.
