Mother’s Day (1 Cor. 7): Children of a believer are “holy”—under his mother’s real duty to teach, discipline, pray, and form in the faith under God's covenant. In a marriage w/ an unbeliever, a believing parent is a means of grace in the home. 🎧 mbcks.com/sermons

@Hillsdale @NIH As a Hillsdale grad with a Ph.D. in RNA biochemistry, it's great to see Hillsdale undergrad science work being displayed. Great work presenting your work Samiksha.

Hillsdale College freshman Samiksha Yadav recently presented her research on hereditary breast cancers at a @NIH workshop in Bethesda, Maryland, as the only undergraduate student selected to present research among 35 researchers. The workshop, “RNA as Cancer Drivers, Biomarkers and Therapeutics,” was organized by the National Cancer Institute and brought together leading experts from academia, industry, and government to discuss cutting-edge cancer research. Before coming to Hillsdale, Yadav conducted cancer genetics research while still in high school in India and became the youngest researcher published at @JNU_official_50. Her momentum continues this year with research presentations accepted at @BrownUniversity's Student Neurosurgery & Neurology Research Conference and @Stanford's 13th Annual Neuroscience Forum — both conferences primarily geared toward medical students. Congratulations to Samiksha on this remarkable achievement!

@DaddyAustin31 @Josh_is_regen Lots of that is my own failures and learning curve, but honey crisp seems like a difficult variety. Arkansas Black on the other hand, stupid easy, grows like it was made for the soil/climate. For apple sauce, my wife loves our Lodi apples. For pies, the Reine des Reinettes.

@FoundationDads God has been good to us too. Three teenagers (and one pre-teen). Love spending time with them. Life is even better than when they were younger, because they are more interesting now.

@itsDanfi @BradSmi @Microsoft A letter? Use google docs. Not word. A long legal document? You need more context and control than either of those tools can provide. We live in a world where software can be built so easily, it doesn’t make sense to use a general solution like word

Today we’re introducing a new Legal Agent in @Microsoft Word, built to support the precision and rigor legal work demands. Every clause matters. Every redline tells a story. That’s why this agent was built to follow the structured workflows lawyers use while keeping them fully in control. Early in my career, I asked for a computer on my desk because I believed technology could change how lawyers work. It did. Today, I believe this next generation of tools will do the same, grounded in trust and responsible use.

@FrankBr05713205 You're right. They claim you don't own it. But a lot of owners beg to differ, and we're reaffirming that. Passed a new law in Kansas today affirming farmers own their data. ruralradio.com/krvn/news/nebr… The fight to restore ownership is alive and well!

Here is a kicker that many do not know. When you buy a new car, you generally do not own the software that operates it. Auto makers and software vendors keep the right to the code that runs your car. This means you’re just borrowing the software, even though you pay for the car. And if you attempt to modify or copy the software, you may be in violation of the law. In essence, today’s cars are increasingly seen as software defined vehicles that are licensed machines where you own the physical shell, but not the code that runs it. On top of that manufacturers can potentially update alter or remove software features over the air after you have bought your vehicle there by changing functionality without your input. The US copyright office has granted a temporary exemption that allows owners to bypass software locks for repair and maintenance purposes, but this does not constitute full ownership of the software. Now, even some manufacturers build hardware into the car, but requires a subscription or a one time fee to activate the software that makes it work, such such as heated seats or advanced driver assistance systems.

@CoughlinDaniel @srothschild1 Of course they're direct subsidies. Does the money not go to the schools for each student? Also, the benefits are not neutral, as they aren't available to every student.

Here in Kansas, we're using tax dollars to build the Kansas City Chiefs a new stadium. Can you imagine if we said only Methodists will be able to get tickets to the games. Vouchers are simply a way to give the wealthy another tax break and further segregate our society.
Justin Parmenter@JustinParmenter

Freedom Christian Academy in Fayetteville got $3.4+ million for vouchers this year. They only take students whose parents have a "vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ" and who demonstrate "a desire to learn." This institution shouldn't get public tax dollars. #nced

@srothschild1 Vouchers don’t create exclusivity. Exclusive schools already exist for the wealthy. Vouchers merely reduce the degree to which educational choice is reserved for those who can pay twice—once in taxes and again in tuition.

@srothschild1 You claim that vouchers “further segregate our society,” but public schools are already segregated by housing patterns and income. In my experience, there was segregation within public schools. Once on a college prep track, there was little interaction with other students.

@erasmuse More than strict inability, it's the pressure to perform in a timely manner, to keep up. The irresistible pressure to do more with less. The temptation to find the easy way out, so you can get back to see your family or scroll TikTok or whatever.

@FlyoverTakes26 @oharaforkansas Of course you do. When such power is concentrated in a small, self-serving group, that group has little incentive to give that power up. Just like the white/male/property holders preferred only their peers be the only ones to vote for state representatives.

Who should choose Kansas Supreme Court Justices? The Kansas Bar Association or YOU and ME!! 22 States have direct elections, time for Kansans to have a voice in the choice. Demand direct election of our State Supreme Court justices.

@FlyoverTakes26 @oharaforkansas As an attorney, the Kansas bar is absolutely political. It's just choosing whose politics influences the judiciary. The idea that the Kansas bar is apolitical is absurd.

@oharaforkansas The Kansas Bar should. Voting for judges makes it political crap like we see in WI. Judges should be chosen by peers based on qualifications and not political affiliation.
