After 5 wonderful years, today was my final day with FOX 5 Atlanta. I’ve decided to pursue other potential opportunities out there.
It’s been a blessing to be a part of one of the best local sports department in the entire country coming back to my home of Atlanta.
Countless memories, World Series championships, 2 national championships, Falcons games you name it…it’s been incredible to cover all the teams I’ve grown up watching as a professional and sharing it with you.
For my audience, don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere and will continue covering the Atlanta sports solo. Looking forward to continuing interacting with yall on here.

❗️Saturday, January 31 is now a @FOX5StormTeam Storm Alert Day.
Accumulating snow is expected in Metro Atlanta with higher totals in eastern Georgia.
Something important to note, wherever it snows, it will stick immediately. The air temperatures will be so cold that the ground temperatures will quickly fall below freezing. That's the other aspect to this, anyone outside enjoying the snow needs to be dressed for teen and single digit wind chills.
That cold weather will last for days. In fact, most spots will not get above freezing between Friday evening and Monday afternoon. We'll be in pipe bursting territory with a duration like that. Be sure to drip and faucets with piping on exterior walls. I usually don't, but will be this weekend.

At approximately 8:45 pm the UGA Police Department Communications Center received a call of a shooter in the area of the UGA Library. Officers quickly responded and searched the area. A preliminary investigation suggests the event was a hoax, but officers remain in the vicinity to investigate and collect information. Please stay away from the area.

The officer killed in the shooting near the CDC headquarters has been identified as 33 year old David Rose, who had been with the Dekalb County Police Department since last September. He leaves behind a wife, two children and a third child on the way.
