Lawrence Wilkerson, former chief of staff to Colin Powell when he was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of State, who predicts the ultimate outcome of Israel's behavior will be the country's destruction. He compares it to Jeremiah's prophecy in the bible who warned the final kings of Judah that if they didn't stop "filling this place with the blood of the innocent" (like "burning their children in the fire", child sacrifice was a practice at the time...) God would "make them fall by the sword before their enemies". And indeed shortly afterwards the Kingdom of Judah fell to the Babylonians. These are the exact words of Jeremiah's prophecy referred to by Wilkerson (src: biblehub.com/bsb/jeremiah/1…): "Proclaim there the words I speak to you, saying, ‘Hear the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah and residents of Jerusalem.
