He’s seriously out of his mind because Jello is a food that’s easy to digest,hydrating & perfect for post op surgery patients in recovery because their throats are usually dry & sore & Jello is soothing to them.The packages are extremely small too.

SNAP has just passed an amendment where SNAP recipients can purchase Hot Rotisserie chickens unlike previously where they had to be cold. The House passed this Bipartisan measure in the lower chamber with a vote of 384-35.This will make life easier for so many like the elderly.

My adult son, our two dogs and myself lived in our small car, with a 2-4 day hotel stays every 2 weeks. We were able to move into a 1 BR studio at the end of 2023. 1/2

@CoastalGranma @l_krekey @Suzierizzo1 @stevent4293 That's so much better in the long run! The food bank where I lived in Cali gave 2 weeks at a time, but it was mostly fresh produce. There were about 6 places in town that did food distribution, and only 2 churches did weekly. They were also the only ones you'd MAYBE get meat.

@CraftyKristy85 @l_krekey @Suzierizzo1 @stevent4293 At the food bank where I volunteer, we give them weekly portions instead of monthly. They do have to come back more often (across town!), but at least they don't have to worry about storage, and other people stealing.

@l_krekey @Suzierizzo1 @stevent4293 It also helps unhoused people have a hot meal occasionally. Kinda hard to cook without a house, electricity, pots n pans, etc.

@Suzierizzo1 @stevent4293 Saves them a little on energy to cook it. Saves from possible burns. And, if they’re not feeling well or can’t cook for some physical reason, it just gives them a hot meal and a wee break.
