We’re delighted that our Patron, @NevilleSouthall , has kindly invited us to take over his X account this Sunday evening from 5pm–7pm. During the takeover we’ll be talking about our journey together from the very first time Nev got involved with us, right through to where we are today. Over the 13 years we’ve existed, we’ve made huge progress as a group, building a supportive community through football, friendship and inclusion. We’ll also be sharing details about some exciting things coming up, including a charity football match we’re currently planning, as well as other events and activities our members can get involved in. Mental health will be a big part of the conversation too. We’ll discuss how football has become a form of therapy for many of our players, helping people build confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging. We’ll also talk about our monthly mental health days out, which are designed to help people get out of the house, connect with others and improve their wellbeing. Many atheists who demand “solid evidence” for claims have no idea how many accepted facts of history are believed with limited evidence. We have more proof of Jesus Christ than of Julius Caesar. In fact, we have such a wealth of information backing up the New Testament that it stands alone among all 1st century documents. That it does so brilliantly and accurately is historically unique. And if so many people died for their manuscripts and translations of the New Testament, or the beliefs held within, it is only logical to assume the importance of Jesus and his life was paramount. You may not believe the New Testament is true, but you can dispute neither its accuracy to the original texts nor its importance to western civilization.
