@dhaaruni Yes, that's precisely why it's a disaster. Being able to say no to social obligations is the definition of a collective action problem that always leads to ruin.

Feminism to me has always been as much about giving women permission to say no, to opt out, as it is about the permission to say yes.

@dhaaruni I honestly think a lot of women use "hating women" as an emotional manipulation tactic to ward of any and all criticism, and once you realize this, it's impossible to forget it.

It's extremely annoying that American politics has become a coping mechanism for men that fail at traditional masculinity.

@ashleysbored The "it's a generalization" defense has gotten way out of hand. If someone can't defend the boundaries or speak to the exceptions of their position, I don't consider them a serious person.

Y’all, the reason people bring up particulars in response to generalizations isn’t stupidity. It’s because you say “women are 5’4” instead of “the average woman is 5’4”. It’s valid and very important to want to understand how exceptions to the rule work in someone’s framework.

@David9381418216 @ashleysbored The left's tactic is to play dumb and pretend that a stated generalization applies to every individual and then act as if you're stupid for their lack of understanding distributions. Half the time the generalizations are supported in research. They are deeply evil and malicious

@ashleysbored The right's tactic is to talk as if generalisations are true for every individual in a group and then act as if you are stupid for pointing out that isn't the case. Half the time those generalisations are just invented stereotypes anyway. They are deeply evil and malicious.

@ashleysbored This is the exception, not the rule. It's usually a bad faith or bad logical attempt at trying to frame exceptions as being more important than the general rule. Exceptions do matter, but it's often a disguised bludgeon to deny inconvenient facts to someone's ideology.

@ReviewsPossum Women being higher on average in social aggressiveness and therefore being much more skilled social manipulators is a criminally understated fact that society needs to grapple with. Sadly, it's hard because the social manipulators will destroy you for even noticing that fact.

I like how whether it's "us women have to wear makeup to live up to the impossible standards of men" or "us women wear makeup for ourselves, not to impress men" depends entirely one whichever argument is more convenient at the moment.

@ArchLuminous @ReviewsPossum Or women are higher on average in social aggressiveness and therefore are more likely to socially manipulate with deceiving arguments to gain power. Calling OP stupid furthers this point.

@ReviewsPossum Or women have different opinions because they're people, and you're just too stupid to assimilate that.

@streamerzunited @Raindropsmedia1 I remember when this video came out. Probably 3 or 4 years ago. Maybe longer, most of the comments on here were in support of the driver. Now that 47 is back in office, more and more of his crowd doesn't feel shy anymore about expressing their "viewpoints".

If you think he’s “sensitive,” you have zero survival skills. Lotta people confuse having self-respect and clear boundaries for sensitivity. The dude was calm throughout and decided who he wouldn’t let in his car. Notice the guy with her immediately threatened violence. He enables her rude behavior too. He was right to kick them out immediately

@Cryot3 You're so stupid I feel sorry for you. Life must be really hard for you being so clueless, entirely lacking in situational awareness. The driver was on to them from jump and was unequivocally proven correct by that final ugly statement and threat of violence.
