@0xQuit That is wild. I would put straw on it. I have been in same situation minus racoon and it solved mud pit issue over fall/winter/spring for dogs. Maybe consider sod for next year? Not cheap, but is pretty effective and sets you up well. Mine from 5 years ago still holding up

Our lawn was dead and extremely compacted post renovation, since it had been home to piled of lumber etc while we were away. We aerated, thatched, and overseeded a month ago and grass started poking through a week ago. Then, 3 days back, a raccoon came through and had an absolute feast on grub or whatever, digging up half the lawn in the process. Then last night he came back and did the other half. Just stopped by the local garden shop and they say it's too late to even bother trying to seed now, window's passed. So I guess we're backyardless for the winter 🥲 Especially frustrating because it means the yard will be a mud pit all winter, which means I'll have to go back to walking him every morning afternoon and night like some sort of NYC plebian. I've always been an animal lover, never hated any particular species but so help me God the next raccoon I see I will take the air out of its lungs with my bare hands.

🚨🚨🚨 Reminder to stay as vigilant as ever and to share with friends outside of this ecosystem to do the same. A friend who has been integral to the Marfa ecosystem but not natively web 3 got caught up in a @coinbase impersonator call tonight and lost a lot. Many of us have urged friends or family to dip a toe into this ecosystem over the years and it’s often those people who are left most vulnerable to scam attempts. It’s on us to keep them apprised of the risks that evolve with time, especially to those who get more and more removed from the changing tactics of these scumbags and particularly so when companies like CB have massive leaks leaving so many left vulnerable.
