@TimDraper Why do Bitcoiners always say “you can’t buy coffee with gold”? Why do gold bugs say “you can’t buy coffee with Bitcoin when the grid goes down”? I’m starting to think big cofffee is behind all of this.

Gold is dead. It just sits there. Bitcoin moves. Borderless. Permissionless. Programmable. You can’t buy coffee with gold. But with Bitcoin, you can — without banks, inflation, or friction.

💔 These pictures are what my boys looked like when I left—small enough to hold in my arms, full of smiles and innocence. Now they’re too big to hold, and my heart is breaking. 😢 I was forced to leave them for years, kept away by the United States government because of J6. When I came home, everything had changed, but somehow everything feels the same. My brain can’t grasp these new “normals.” I’m in a dissociative state, emotionally unavailable to everyone I love, and I know it’s because of what I’ve been through. The pain of missing those years—it’s a wound that won’t heal. 🥀 I’m struggling to accept the changes. My boys grew up without me, and I wasn’t there to hold them as they did. I’m dealing with this every day, trying to find my way back to them, but it’s one of many things tearing at me mentally. Being separated from my family for so long did this to me, and I know other J6 defendants feel this too. The government took those years from us, and now we’re left picking up the pieces. 🖤 I’m sharing this because I need to be real about where I’m at. If you’ve felt this kind of loss, this kind of disconnect, let’s talk about it. We’re not alone in this fight to heal. #J6FamilyPain #MentalHealthStruggle #FamilySeparation #GovernmentInjustice #HealingJourney #J6Survivor #ViralTruth

@PureElement5 I surround myself with 5 losers and they all realize they are losers and change their ways or they lose their sixth man. This is the way.

PURE GOLD ~ Jim Rohn once said, You're the average of the five people you spend the most time with." We like to put that another way: "Surround yourself with 5 losers and you'll become the sixth. We are all connected, which means people will influence you. Be hyper-aware of the impact those around you have on your behaviour. Don't ever let bad habits, weak character, low standards, or immoral actions rub off on you. Keeping bad company is like swimming in a polluted river: you never know what you'll catch! pureelement5.com/boss-up-and-ow…

Daniel "CEO of the XRPL" Keller
Sure. You hold "whatthefucktoken," and I hold "whythefuckwouldyouwanttotoken," and there is no direct pair between the two. The idea is that we use XRP because there is an XRP pair for each of them we and let the ledger sort it out. That auto bridging. You get what you want, I get what I want. The XRPL sorted it. This is a genius idea but only in theory. The reality is that neither you nor I will hold a significant amount in either of those tokens to make it an issue. If they had any significant value, there would be a direct market. Taken from the docs: Any Offer in the XRP Ledger's decentralized exchange that would exchange two tokens could potentially use XRP as an intermediary currency in a synthetic order book. This is because of auto-bridging, which serves to improve liquidity across all asset pairs by using XRP when doing so is cheaper than trading directly. This works because of XRP's nature as a native cryptocurrency to the XRP Ledger. Offer execution can use a combination of direct and auto-bridged offers to achieve the best total exchange rate. Example: Anita places an offer to sell GBP and buy BRL. She might find that this uncommon market has few offers. There is one offer with a good rate, but it has insufficient quantity to satisfy Anita's trade. However, both GBP and BRL have active, competitive markets to XRP. The XRP Ledger's auto-bridging system finds a way to complete Anita's offer by purchasing XRP with GBP from one trader, then selling the XRP to another trader to buy BRL. Anita automatically gets the best rate possible by combining the small offer in the direct GBP:BRL market with the better composite rates created by pairing GBP:XRP and XRP:BRL offers. Auto-bridging happens automatically on any OfferCreate transaction. Payment transactions do not use auto-bridging by default, but path-finding can find paths that have the same effect.

The discussions of #RLUSD and #XRP are too flat. Will stablecoins take some of #XRP's use away? Maybe, for direct transfers. Stables are less volatile and guaranteed. And no, XRPL burn fees aren't significant, but XRP always plays a key role via autobridging. If you don't understand this, you don't grasp the XRPL - without a direct path from RLUSD to another currency (like EUR), the system automatically uses #XRP to bridge the gap. It means XRP helps source liquidity behind the scenes even for stables. Currency use depends on liquidity, and XRP provides that. Stables & XRP are not replacements for one another.

@boomer_rube @DonDurrett @steve_kleen Digibyte is more decentralized than bitcoin. As noted in the DigiByte whitepaper: “A truly decentralized blockchain must resist the influence of centralized mining operations and encourage broad participation.”

Many of you question whether Bitcoin is real or a scam. Let's get over that question. It's clearly real. The only legitimate questions are how long it will last and what it will be worth in the future. Bitcoin offers the following utility that never existed before for a digital file (a Bitcoin transaction is essentially a digital file). 1) Security. 2) Proof of ownership. 3) Transferability. 4) 24/7 pricing. When I did my deep dive in 2016, three things convinced me to buy it. 1) It shouldn't exist. The fact that it does exist is a very bizarre situation that borders on a miracle. No one should be able to create a fully decentralized software application that is self-correcting. 2) I could not figure out a way to kill it. 3) The halving is designed to push the price higher. When I combined those three factors, I felt like an idiot if I didn't buy it. At least that's how I felt at the time. I bought it on Coinbase within a month of my deep dive. I had an advantage over the average investor. I had an IT/Programmer background, so I had the ability to do a deep dive. I spent over 8 hours just understanding how Bitcoin does a transaction to prevent a double-spend. What I found was that the Bitcoin code was elegant. It was impressive. I practically gasped at how they solved the double-spend problem. 😯
