Does Jake Brancatella know what the debate topic is tonight? Dude spent more time talking about David Wood than defending Muhammad and the Quran 😂😂😂

It's probably best Jake Brancatella wasn't physically present for the debate, because dude just kept crashing out instead of making arguments. Dude is okay with Muhammad being a pedo and okay with burying himself in a debate. Dude would rather cook himself with Momo than defend

I'll admit that David's first debate tonight wasn't his greatest, but woof...Jake's rebuttals for the morality of the Quran was atrocious. Jake just cooked himself in his own rebuttals

@CtD315 @Ahraz__ I meant to say that Muslims know the truth about Christianity, but they choose to lie because that’s the only way they can prove their religion is better.

The Quran says that the sun sets in a pool of mud on earth somewhere. It says that Alexander the Great travelled west until he found that spot. It also says people live there at the pool of mud where the sun sets and which Alexander the Great visited once. Fact check me.

John 1 Shows the Word of God as a living person. John 5 Shows scriptures as one that testifies John 6 shows the word as a Spirit Hebrews 4 shows how it's living having the ability to divide or discern Ephesians 6 calls the word of God the Sword of the Spirit Proverbs 8 shows this as wisdom personified Let me ask you. Is an Angel a Person? Therefore is a Spirit a Person? What if that Spirit is poured into man? Can the Spirit of God be poured out into man and become a person? Word was made flesh. Jesus is that person. Scriptures in current form is also living and sharp. The Spirit of the Man Jesus. The words of God. This book is capable of manifesting. The question you ask is simple and silly. Lacks imagination.

@Sovereign_Beard @ThoughtfulSaint By what authority can you say it’s not true? Your man-made creeds formed hundreds of years after Christs death and resurrection?

@Mormonger @joshuapbrink Apostasy doesn't just mean they screwed up. It means they have abandoned the truth/religion. Sure you can say not everyone apostasized, but the claim is still that generally we did. Secondly when is the apostasy? What is the evidence of it having taken place?

Joseph Smith did not teach that creedalist Christians weren't Christians. He taught that their churches had fallen into apostasy. Do you not see the difference? 😂 The First Vision condemns sects, creeds, and religious authorities. It does not say that every individual Protestant or Catholic ceased believing in Christ, ceased worshiping Christ, or ceased being a follower of Christ. In fact, the entire restoration narrative presupposes that sincere Christians existed and were seeking God despite institutional corruption. Your argument depends on collapsing two different categories: 1. "This church is false." 2. "Every member of this church is not a Christian." Joseph Smith clearly taught the first. He never clearly taught the second. And your supposed dilemma is false. There is no contradiction between saying that historic creedal Christianity was in apostasy and saying that many Catholics and Protestants were still genuine believers in Jesus Christ. Those claims coexist easily. Christians themselves make similar distinctions all the time when they call other denominations doctrinally corrupt while still acknowledging that some members are sincere followers of Christ. The real issue is that critics often want Joseph Smith's condemnation of creeds to mean something it doesn't. The phrase "all their creeds were an abomination" is a judgment on theological systems, not a declaration that every person attending a church was a conscious fraud or incapable of faith in Christ. So no, the choices are not "Joseph was right and all creedalist Christians were corrupt" or "modern Latter-day Saints have abandoned Joseph." The actual choice is whether you're willing to read Joseph Smith's statements carefully instead of inflating a condemnation of institutions into a condemnation of every individual believer. That's a distinction critics frequently ignore because it makes the argument sound stronger than the text actually supports.

As Mormons, we must be totally honest. Creedalists do worship a Jesus Christ. It's just not the Jesus Christ revealed in the Bible. It is a Jesus Christ that was invented by councils of men and who is not like the one in the Bible. Thus, they are not Biblical Christians.
