@JamesABeemer1 We had a dead snake in our driveway a few days ago. A crow found it. Then it seemed to be letting out a call for others (not a typical “caw caw.”) In moments, there were several crows attacking the dead snake and flying away with their serving. It was interesting to observe.

ETA: Cyanide bombs are a cruel response to wildlife. It reminded me of something buried in the Epstein files: accounts that he ordered the deer on his island killed, and at another point ordered his staff to kill the animals at Zorro Ranch. Power without empathy becomes dangerous very quickly.

Another change: NFL teams will no longer be able to protect specific home games from being moved internationally. Until now, team could lock in two guaranteed home stadium games each season. That rule has been eliminated and the NFL can now move any game they want to a different country. The NFL’s global expansion push is aggressive right now.

NFL owners have approved increasing the maximum number of league-run international games per season from 8 to 10 beginning in 2027. That maximum does not include the Jaguars-run game in London.

I’ll say it: I still think the Cubs can win the division. I still think they can win 90+ games and yes, I still think they WILL make the playoffs. If you told us in March we’d be down 10 pitchers and in 1st place with a top-3 record in baseball on May 19th, we’d all have taken it. We won 20 of 23, which allows for little slides like we’re seeing right now. Guys will come back, tides will turn, and the talent of our players will translate to a lot of wins. It’s a LONG season. You can’t win every game. You can’t hit every time there are runners on base. You certainly can’t give up 0 runs every time you pitch. We are less than 30% through the season — RELAX. The Cubs will be just fine. And assuming they make some moves at the deadline, we’ll be an absolute contender.
