i mean i don’t mind paying for the first date, or i guess i thought i didn’t, but i’ve been on like seven or so now in a couple months and i’ve started deliberately avoiding pricier places to not hurt my wallet *too* much, and i specifically specified dessert here for that reason. i don't know. honestly an extra 15 to 20 bucks for one night isn't that impactful to me. i've frankly started to kind of feel used because of how many of these first dates now have resulted in either a rejection or ghosting. i know it's not fair to these women to assume that that’s what they’re doing, but when the social expectation is that the guy pays for the first date and all i've been getting are first dates, it just doesn't feel good
