@james_xond I don't remember being bored. Always hanged out with my buddies. Ride our ( nonelectric) bikes everywhere. Had rock fights in the fields. BB guns, go to the beach, watch TV on a small electron gun type tube. Listened to rock music on vinyl records. There was plenty to do.

Actually, AI/Robotics will mean everyone can have a penthouse if they want. The output of goods & services will be several orders of magnitude higher than today’s economy. Read the Iain Banks Culture books for the best imagining of how it will be. That said, what is the future you want? Amazing abundance seems the best to me.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

@NickCho You're wrong on this. With the high cost of real estate in California many would be forced out of their homes if it wasn't for prop 13. In fact, the whole premise of a yearly tax on something you own is wrong. With all the massive fraud in this state ?

Can nothing be done? Lived in California since 2011 & while overall think it's wonderful, the one thing that I've been absolutely perplexed by is Prop 13. It's the worst thing about CA & everyone just accepts it, & almost every other problem with CA is because of it.
