Clarification: Onboarding ends Wednesday, April 22 for our next I-765 group lawsuit. At @RedEagleLaw, we don’t let the grass grow under our feet. Tick tock. Let’s go.
Red Eagle Law, L.C.@RedEagleLaw

We are offering 2 group lawsuits to challenge the USCIS holds on applicants from travel ban countries (PM-602-0192/4). 1) We are onboarding a group lawsuit for I-765 applicants. Cost to participate is $3k (payable as $1k now and $2k on July 1). Onboarding is live now but ends April 22: redeaglelaw.com/group-lawsuit-… 2) We will be onboarding a class action group lawsuit for applicants of all uscis benefits. This is a more affordable option ($1,400 per family - includes all pending uscis applications), but because of the motion for class certification, relief may take a little longer. Onboarding will not begin before April 30. More details to come.

Morrison welcomed the judge's ruling in a statement to Law360 on Friday, but suggested more litigation is on the horizon. "While the Behdin plaintiffs are thrilled to get this relief, my thoughts right now are with all the non-plaintiffs who don't benefit from this order," Morrison said, adding that he plans to file a class action in the coming weeks. "We're not sleeping until this hold is enjoined for all," he said. USCIS did not immediately return a request for comment. law360.com/articles/24667…

for a while I've been banging on the table about how the Trump admin has not yet created anything new in terms of powers and capacities, but that is starting to change. mostly by the creating of deportation-driven cells within every agency that even slightly touches immigration.
Jonathan Blitzer@JonathanBlitzer

According to an internal agency document, US Citizenship & Immigration Services has created the "Tactical Operations Division." This is entirely new. It consists of teams called: "Denaturalization"; "Refugee Re-Vetting"; "LPR Operations"; "Fraud Detection & National Security" 1/

This is a lot of firepower in the service of an entirely new mission for the agency. USCIS is supposed to administer the legal immigration system, but the current Admin has turned it into an enforcement body. Here's my recent @NewYorker story on USCIS: newyorker.com/news/annals-of…

@curtismorrison Live Not By Lies, Shamim Mafi was arrested for working for the Islamic regime a foreign adversary to facilitate the sale of weapons to Sudan, a country currently subject to a United Nations arms embargo. @curtisforCA48 the truth matters, stop being a @NIACouncil sock puppet.

Last night, Shamim Mafi, 44, of Woodland Hills, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for trafficking arms on behalf of the government of Iran. She is charged with a violation of 50 U.S.C. § 1705 for brokering the sale of drones, bombs, bomb fuses, and millions of rounds of ammunition manufactured by Iran and sold to Sudan. If convicted, she faces a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. Mafi is an Iranian national who became a lawful permanent resident of the United States in 2016. She is expected to make her initial appearance on Monday afternoon in U.S. District Court in downtown L.A. She is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

@azraelfallen Unless you’re a 9th Circuit judge or Supreme Court justice, your view is not going to change that indeed she does have jurisdiction to hear immigration cases.

One nice nugget in Judge van Keulen's Behdin v Edlow PI order is she noted that 30-day Premium Processing being an upgrade service USCIS offers demonstrates the feasibility of 30-day relief. 💁‍♂️

@m59049 @USCISJoe Yes to the Dec 2 memo, but (as you know) the January 1 memo notes “applications that were approved after January 20, 2021.” Compare:

@curtismorrison Do the enlisted personnel know that if they follow Trump's orders they will find themselves before the international criminal court in The Hague! I was just following orders was no excuse for Hitler's Nazis, and they won't be any excuse for Trump's Nazis either! #NoFascism

Not going to lie. It’s flattering DOJ is arguing that 9th Circuit must reject a finding in one of our old cases because it appears other courts “are beginning to follow.” 🤭
