I have not enjoyed Austin, mostly because there are like 28 Targets within 20 miles of me and all of them take 15 minutes to get to. It just feels like Atlanta for white people. (A place where we go when we dunno where to go next) Mostly a suburban sprawl box store hellscape.

I see a lot of posts stating "yet another launchpad" and complaining about a lack of innovation especially on Solana. I'd like to clarify a few things regarding those claims: First, the users (devs and traders) are net winners to a competitive environment. More creator rewards, more ways to launch and trade, more volume, more narratives, more fun... This allows user to choose among the platform that rewards them the most, be it in terms of financial gains or entertainment. Second, we know the #1 factor to both devs and traders joining a new platform is VOLUME. That's why it'll be a hard challenge for anyone trying to dethrone Pump, which spent 2 years and millions of dollars optimising their platform exactly for that, on top of being the "top of mind" launchpad in Web 3 as whole. There is a LOT of innovation on Solana (think of gambling supply on @launchboy69 from @123skely, staking on @blankdotbuild or @printr, fee claiming on @BagsApp...) that offers new ways to bring volume to coins and make money. Catching attention and volume on those innovations are the HARD part. I talked to hundreds of KOLs and builders, the factor #1 of success is not switching blockchain or mass outreach. It's runners and the volume they bring. Third, it does take time to build, grow and maintain a great product AND community supporting it. You can't expect a newcomer to come and succeed all at once. Pump took months to get decent volume, same for BAGS, DAOS, MetaDAO... Some users will like the first version and hate the 3rd one, will love a feature others hate, and the first community is often very different from the one you have a few months later. Most new launchpads stop working once they get their first decrease in volume because they think they won't be able to get traction again. But we've seen it first hand with @blankdotbuild, it's often just a rollercoaster. One good launch, one good tweet, one conversation can drastically change the situation and make the same people hating on your product yesterday be believers today. Support builders showing up daily to make a product people will love, because the faster you get feedback, the faster their product evolves. More launchpads = more innovations = more launches = more opportunities = more volume as whole. Maybe I'm biased, but seeing this many new products and launches on Solana in the middle of a crypto bear market is very promising.

When you convince teams to launch on your launchpad, it's always a coin flip. You never know if they're serious, if they're going to scam and blame you, if they'll be active, anything can go south at any time. Poaching a dev / a team good at building a great product + great at marketing, AND of top of that willing to build long term, is a very tedious task. If anything goes wrong, you're often the one taking the blame, like @BagsApp for this situation. But we do it for the love of the game and just one great story can make up for all the bad ones.
