I saw a story that said this girl was sent home from prom because of this dress. Obviously, the right decision. The real question is WHY DID HER PARENTS BUY OR ALLOW THIS DRESS TO BE WORN AT ALL??? This dress is scandalous for a grown woman, much less a high school prom.

@4thOfJuly365 The misconception that we Catholics worship Mary is in the misguided idea held by Protestants that prayer is worship. We revere, venerate and honor the Blessed Mother. We ask her, and the rest of the saints, to pray for us, just as we ask each other to pray for us.

To any Catholics who see this post and to anyone else who would like to chime in: I have a real question for you — why is there such a strong admiration for the Pope in your faith? I'd genuinely like to have a respectful conversation about it.

@4thOfJuly365 Oh for crying out loud, Jesus made Peter the Head of the Church; we take our cue from that teaching. Since Catholicism was the first faith for hundreds and hundreds of years, we laid a foundation for everyone and many traditions helped to keep the public and monarchies in order.

Me personally I don't understand it. I feel like he is being idolized and is a made up figure who is never once mentioned in the Bible. Kinda like confession, praying to Mary and saints and purgatory.
