Cornwall Police Dogs

This weekend Darren and PD Luna took part in the South West Regional Police dog trials hosted by Avon and Somerset. They only completed their Initial Police course in December last year but still amazingly managed to achieve a qualifying score of 733. The future is bright. 👏

A day of mixed emotions. Today TPD Rex left me to go to his new handler Sgt James Little the OIC of the Cornwall Police dog unit. I’m very proud of what TPD Rex & I have achieved together over the last 6 weeks. I think he will be a perfect fit for James. Good luck big man. ❤️

⭐️ PD FINNI RESULTS ⭐️ 1/2…PD Finni was called to a high risk missing person in Cornwall where the female had stated she wanted to end her life, self harmed and taken pills. After a 1.5hr drive from Plymouth Finni and handler arrive in the area to conduct a track 🚓🚨💨 ……..

PD Gwen was deployed to a break in progress overnight. She put her nose to work to track down the outstanding suspect before detaining them. Stolen property also recovered. Excellent result for this team and many more to follow! 👏 👌 💪

More great work from PD Cooper last night! Super Cooper assisted RPT with a premises search following another great proactive stop and arrest for PWITS. He located large quantities of Class B from numerous hides and thousands in cash. Well done Coops 👏

PD Cooper has been a busy lad. Some excellent finds of suspected Class A hidden in a vehicle following a very good proactive stop by RPT. Further positive searches of the home address followed.

PC Pickin and PC Williams from the Bodmin Neighbourhood team visited Year 3 at St Mary's school Bodmin They were joined by PC Hartley and her Police Dog Gwen. Gwen very much enjoyed the attention showing off her favourite toy @CornwallDogs

@DC_PoliceDogs PD Ash and sister Annie both worked full successful careers and both girls around 30kgs. Agile, quick, fantastic tracking dogs.

DOES SIZE MATTER? TPD Veena was not that driven in her early days but I sensed there was something about her and now her tracking prowess is there for all to see. She has very much lived in the shadow of TPD Albert & at 28kgs some will say she’s too small for GP work. ( Thoughts)

Robbery in #Weymouth tonight with 5 offenders. Geri's handler located them and detained 2🤘. The rest made off but later detained #5incustody. Although Gerri and Goose didn't get too involved, their presence alone always reassures many 🐾. Great work by #TP #NPT #ARV #RPU #OD

A MASSIVE pig ear for PD Goose. Tonight, males in balaclavas were interfering with vehicles in #Ferndown. All ran off. Two weren't fast enough and were quickly caught by TP officers. Another was then swiftly located, hiding in a garden by PD Goose. #policedog #hideandweseek

PD Gwen has a few good results recently and is really finding her paws. Following a high value theft Gwen carried out an extensive search locating the well stashed item. Possible forensic evidence and a happy victim. Excellent work team Gwen 👏

PD Bond assisted units in a lengthy search for a high risk missing person last night. Bond tracked and located the person in freezing conditions putting his great nose to good use! The misper is now getting help from appropriate agencies. Well done Bond!
