The question that bugs me daily is why Kratos is banned from Everywhen, why HE does not go there. Who banned him from there?

@trulyyblu Division 2 does have those, it's just 3rd person, currently the closest competitor ( has it's own problem) but a good run into the genre

I laughed after this person blocked me. Cause wtf is this list? Most of these are third person None of these have intricate raids and dungeons. Or secrets like destiny. None of these have a Crucible like mode where you can take loot from anywhere in the game to play PvP. A lot of these are not mmo like games like destiny is. I don’t even know why helldivers, deep rock, and fallout 76 was even mentioned. THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DESTINY!!!! #WeWantDestiny3 #SaveDestiny !!!!

@_ToastedBrioche As someone who works in the games industry, yes this absolutely makes sense! Large Releases have that impact and tend to take large chunks of the market over and other games get buried, in news, coverage, and advertising. You're not targeting old audiences only, but new ones too

So many games are gonna get skipped or bought on sale later on because they're avoiding a game that many ppl aren't even interested in or is in a completely different genre. It's unfortunate, really.

Just watched Jason's (first ever?) YouTube video about Destiny 2 and why it failed. A lot of recap of his past reporting and not tons of new info, but worth watching to catch up. @TheTrueVanguard Yes but the harsh reality is campaigning for Destiny’s future “peacefully” or whatever just don’t get anywhere. You have to hurt the other money maker, it’s the only way to actually get them to listen . Sucks it has to be that way, but it’s the only way.

Idk, actively campaigning against a game out of spite seems really childish to me. I’m not trying to force anyone to play or like Marathon. But it is actually a really good game and I’d hate for the people who DO love it to end up having their game struggle just because negative sentiment is so strong among the people who aren’t engaged with it. Both things can be true at once. You can be gutted that Destiny is ending. And you can just quietly not be interested in Marathon too. You can campaign in favor of Destiny’s future and I’m 100% with you in that effort. And you can also not add fuel to the flames when it comes to campaigning against Marathon.

@summit1g Pro tip if you know someone on the server has the app, grab a SAR and 20 explo, and shoot a bullet at it once every 10 seconds or so XD it will pop a bunch of raid messages in their app and get everyone online XD

@oshillex Remember that textures are larger now as well, uncompressed one of these games will be around 500-1 tb in size, there's genuinely more to games and game internal systems now than befire and the complexity comes at the cost of space

I have a question for the business experts on this app. If Bungie is on life support and Sony is pushing them to claw back the money they apparently lost, how come we don’t have another Eververse situation on our hands? There are virtually no micro-transactions at all, we get one bundle a week and it costs what, £10? Hardly breaking the bank. I mean, I wish they would add more skins to buy, especially with the aesthetic being a huge part of why people love this game. They just aren’t pushing micro-transactions on this game at all, weird for a company apparently heavily in the Red and at risk of liquidation. There are currently 8 bundles that you can buy in the store and 1 standard battle pass, no “black cell” equivalent or option to purchase tier skips. Funny 🧍‍♂️I figured if they were in the Red the way people keep saying they are, they’d actually monetise things? And this is just launch content, thinking long term, they’ll only add more skins, more battle passes, you see actual business experts think about the long term, that’s why they work at Sony and Bungie respectively. 1.2 Million copies sold, that doesn’t entail whether it is standard edition, deluxe edition, or collectors edition, so once again the sales revenue numbers won’t be accurate, if any of the numbers were to begin with. Also, for Bungie to of apparently banked their entire company on developing Marathon for the past six years and they’re heavily in the red, the game is oddly cheap, £40? I mean, if they priced it cheaply because they thought nobody would pay more than that with it being a niche genre, clearly they’re not worried, never expected it to be a massive payout, and have bigger things in development, I.e Destiny 3. The Bungie store is almost always sold out, restocked and sold out again, still waiting on getting the weaveworm plushie but that sells out almost instantly after multiple restocks, which tells you all you need to know, people are buying in troves. This game isn’t going anywhere but go ahead and waste your time staring steam charts all day, I’m at 160 Hours on Marathon and counting. #Marathon

@AndrewSc077 @MarathonArchive So the active number of people playing is much largen than concurrent, steamcharts only shows you how many right now, and the highest nr of people simultaneousy, to get an actually unique number you'd need something that counts unique users registered

@AndrewSc077 @MarathonArchive Look up on google average playtime for a gaming session, the longest are 4 hours for hardcore people, average about 2 hours, so a dude plays for 2-3 hours then stops and another dude comes in and plays another 2-3 hours and so on and so forth, also not everyone plays daily
