@DurvidImel I'm hoping and wanting for an official Google XR pair of glasses without cameras personally
English

I wrote about the smart glasses revolution, and how Google's new ecosystem is about to make these things blend in everywhere: davidimel.com/newsletter/wer…

@heyclicky "When is my next meeting with so-and-so" has taken literally minutes. Am I missing something? Is that not the sort of use case for this, because this app feels busted as-is
English

@julesrosenberg @FarzaTV @grok @grok is 'show me your stack' a podcast or vlog? Why can't I find it anywhere?
English

@vivaldibrowser I'll live with it for a bit and see how it goes! It was jarring at first :D
English

@dep That's on purpose, to let you easily check the full address (it's especially useful with long URLs). It expands when you focus the Address Field, and automatically collapses when you focus anything else.

@shiri_shh I thought "neural expressive" was some sort of voice chat upgrade so that was a little disappointing

@LexnLin The tech will never be able to always outpace our ever-growing expectations
English

This Google I/O was pretty disappointing.
I expected wayyy more.
At least a sota model not just a flash 3.5 thats even really expensive
Basically what is cool is the concept behind the omni model and the redesign, but otherwise nothing surprised me and seems to be new.
Antigravity app UI looks like Codex app UI
Antigravity CLI looks like Claude Code
Subagents, building android apps, design and so on was all possible before. I've been doing all that in Codex or Cursor/Windsruf and it's perfect.
The limits are also pretty bad now. Good for just using 3.1 pro, 3.5 flash.
BUT on Ultra you just don't have the value anymore. Before you could generate 5 videos and still have everything else seperately. Now 5videos in and I can't use ANYTHING anymore.
Antigravity seems to be still broken with the errors.
The tools in Flow are clearly vibecoded (and I'm not saying that this is bad). It just doesn't look good.
A LOT of new features like Spark for example are only available for Ultra users in the US.
I have been an Ultra subscriber since 3months. Not getting Genie 3, Spark, Agent, still no personal intelligence,...
(ah yes and apparently Genie 3 is available for all Ultra subscribers now but doesnt work for me)
This is not worth it anymore.
I don't see the value.

Today, we launched a brand-new intelligent Search box.
Here's what that means:
An upgrade to the Search experience with our most advanced Gemini 3.5 models, bringing with them our latest agentic capabilities
You can ask across modalities (text, images, files, and videos) and Search can reason across them all
We're combining AI Overviews and AI Mode into one, seamless AI Search experience. So you can ask follow-up questions, build context, and received even more tailored and personalized responses
This new AI Search experience is live today across desktop and mobile, worldwide.

Great job invoking thalassophobia in @Subnautica again. This is a vast improvement from Below Zero. Well done.

@Hesamation To be fair he has a full team working on it but they're doing great work

a dude and his laptop create better OS AI than Copilot and Siri combined.

Been working on a new UX for agents. It will understand your workflow as you use your computer and proactively nudge you when it can be helpful. I feel like agents are these super powerful beings trapped in terminals and chat interfaces. Now, just use your voice. Demo:

@dep Have you already minimised the window? Bottom left corner…
