I don’t think James is wrong here in not classifying this as anything but scud… but these unique “scudnadoes” that clearly have rotation and a u-component of motion inhabit a special spot in my mind. I consider them to be paratornadic vortices. Mechanisms may have some cursory similarities in formation, but magnitude makes the difference

Just had a long-lived intense tornado near Onion Lake, SK #skstorm



It's the CFSV2. It's going to the strong El Niños of 57-58 and 65-66. Interesting because Euro wants 15-16,97-98. Did an extensive write-up on the Bell and tweeted it out below. It's why the MEI is going to be interesting, because it is likely not to be as strong as ONI. Also, CFSV2 wants more modoki look
