Well, if $35 million is around the top end at the moment in total, and the top schools are going 75-80% of rev share on football, and rev share is increasing about 4% from $20.5 million... $21.32 rev share for 2026-27, estimated. 80% of that is roughly $17 million. So at the very, very top of the market, you're talking $10 to $20 million in NIL funds per year. That's sorta the spread between the very, very biggest NIL spenders and the ones that are very strong but in a second tier.

Let's play the realistic guessing game about the teams that have more $ to spend on their roster than we do. I'd guess: Texas Texas A&M Texas Tech LSU Ohio State Oregon Miami Then some others that may or may not be ahead of us (or in the same ballpark): Michigan Indiana Georgia Tennessee Notre Dame Oklahoma Ole Miss Florida Then I'd imagine that in a given year, there's a team or two making a coaching change with a wiped-out roster who has to spend more. For example, maybe Penn State this year. My best guess is we're probably in the 9-15 range in terms of total roster cost, excluding all other program expenses. What do you think?

NCAA, schools have a cap of $20.5M to spend across all sports...UA spends 100% of what's allowed and mostly on football. Any disparity in portal competition would be due to NIL money, which can't come from the school.
