@musicvenuetrust This affects all the venues in Birmingham I use, and the venue in Chester! Would be great to see @samanthadixonmp (Chester) and @ShabanaMahmood (Asylum, The Flapper, Dead Wax, Mama Roux’s etc) jump on it.

This is desperately required. As are responses to all the other recommendations in the excellent Select Committee Report. Especially the fact that these Oasis shows have contributed nothing at all to the grassroots sector economy.

@CTS_Cloud_IT I’m being told next week possibly for completion unless someone is willing to break the chain. Banks won’t do redemption statements or release funds until CTS can give them explanations and safeguards.

@CTS_Cloud_IT So I’ve had a bit more of a reply from one of the firms who use CTS. The bottom line is, If you haven’t exchanged, it’s very unlikely anyone will complete this week. The banks aren’t willing to release any funds until CTS get to the bottom of why it happened. 1/2

why does every tour skip over Birmingham these days? is it because Surprise You're Dead is the only big booking agent now and everyone's sick of working with them? or is it because the scene there is basically just indie bands or metal bands now? so many venues, so little tours😪

@brodiecantskate It’s fine, I was just confused by it all. We get offered more shows than we announce. We pass / say no on a fair bit stuff too if we think it’s hard and going to be difficult to make work for us. Also SYD isn’t a ‘booking agent’ we’re a promotions company.
