John Fetterman's had a 108 pt drop in his net approval with PA Dems since 2023. His net rating is -40 pt net approval with them. His net popularity with his own party is worse than all senators who lost a primary this century. There's no historical analog to his unpopularity.

Carson Hocevar said today that he originally wanted to run a throwback to the Bud 8, thinking it was perfect for Chili's branding, but they sold him on Dale Earnhardt's 1981 Wrangler car since it fit their cowboy theme. Hocevar remembers it from when Dale Jr drove it at Daytona in 2010, so he was able to rationalize that he's running somewhat of a Jr. scheme. Hocevar also pushed back on the comparisons people have made between him and Dale Earnhardt and what they've turned into. "It started by kind of not apologizing after running into people and being really, really aggressive to turning into kind of 'Oh, I'm as good as him.' I don't know where that came from."
