Chaired a brainstorming session along with officials of the @DoC_GoI and @DPIITGoI. Discussions focused on boosting exports & investments, unlocking opportunities for aspiring exporters, and tapping new global markets. Also, explored measures to enhance global exposure for Indian businesses, strengthen export promotion efforts & expand the participation of industries from across the country.

Chaired a meeting to prepare a roadmap for obtaining SPS (Sanitary and Phytosanitary) approvals for Indian agricultural and fisheries products across global markets, aimed at boosting exports, enhancing the income of farmers and fisherfolk, and strengthening the food processing industry. Discussions focused on strengthening quality infrastructure, sustainability, market access, certification systems, and unlocking higher value realisation through coordinated efforts of all stakeholders.

Held a review meeting with key officers and chief negotiators to assess the progress of India's Free Trade Agreements. Discussed ways to encourage more businesses to export from India, further unlocking the country's potential to export world-class products. Also, explored avenues to strengthen India's position in global value chains.

Held a productive meeting with Mr. David L. Gitlin, Chairman & CEO of @Carrier Corporation. Discussed avenues to deepen collaboration in advanced manufacturing, promote sustainable cooling solutions, and further strengthen India’s position in global value chains. Also explored pathways to develop India as a major manufacturing and export hub for these technologies.

Met the delegation led by Mr. Takayuki Kobayashi, Member of the House of Representatives & Chairperson of LDP's Policy Research Council, Japan. Discussed strengthening India–Japan economic engagement, enhancing MSME partnerships, and deepening collaboration in key sectors like automobiles, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, and advanced manufacturing. Highlighted the need to boost exports from India and improve market access. Reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthening the business ecosystem, while exploring future pathways under CEPA and broader Indo-Pacific economic cooperation frameworks. 🇮🇳🇯🇵 @kobahawk

Four years ago, when the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) came into force, it created a transformational opportunity for Indian farmers, MSMEs, and other businesses. Bilateral merchandise trade has grown strongly, crossing $100 Bn, with services trade also rising steadily and opening new markets and greater value. Expansion across key sectors like gems and jewellery, engineering goods, electronics, and agriculture is delivering tangible gains, and FDI inflows from the UAE and India's overseas investments further reflect our deepening economic linkages. 🇮🇳🇦🇪

Held a virtual interaction with Mr. @PeterKyle, UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade. We explored ways to further enhance our trade & investment ties while fully leveraging the opportunities under the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). 🇮🇳🇬🇧

Held a productive meeting with department officials to explore ways to strengthen @GeM_India as a catalyst for transparent, competitive & inclusive public procurement. Deliberations focused on enhancing India's procurement ecosystem through digital enablement, robust price discovery & wider vendor participation, while empowering MSMEs, start-ups and women entrepreneurs to actively contribute to nation-building.

Held a productive meeting with Ms. Gabriela Sommerfeld Rosero, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Human Mobility of Ecuador. We discussed ways to further strengthen our trade & investment ties and explored new avenues of cooperation. Looking forward to deepening India-Ecuador bilateral relations. 🇮🇳🇪🇨

Addressed the World Intellectual Property (IP) Day celebrations themed 'IP and Sports: Ready, Set, Innovate!', also attended by the Jammu & Kashmir cricket team. Launched the 'Viksit Bharat Digital Matrix 2026 - Design Hackathon', a 6-month immersive programme centred on the theme of smart wearables, focusing on developing next-gen solutions. Spoke about how the theme highlighted the growing importance of innovation in sports and the vast opportunities the sector holds.
