@ArmandoNDK Their names should be synonymous with Lieberman

Ostracize them! Denounce them! Make elected Dems denounce them!
Disgrace them. Don’t worry about primaries.
Call them out! NOW!

I get the sentiment behind calls to primary those who caved but reality is: Cortez Masto — Not up until 2028 Hassan — Not up until 2028 Fetterman — Not up until 2028 Kaine — Not up until 2030 King — Not up until 2030 Rosen — Not up until 2030 Durbin — Retiring Shaheen — Retiring

@PorcupinePoke @Brett_McMurphy Lol @ the OP counting Wazzu for KSU's schedule, but not for Washington's. Very funny.
English

@Brett_McMurphy Asterisk from a big 12 guy. Houston and Tech meet that by playing OrSt while KSU plays Wazzu. Considering these were likely scheduled before the PAC fell it makes sense. It would be unrealistic to try to make them schedule someone else.
Also, Ole Miss meets it with OrSt in 2027.

In 2026, every Power 4 team will play 10 power conference opponents except the Big Ten's Indiana, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers & Washington. All Big 12, SEC & ACC teams are required to play 10 power conference teams, but not the Big Ten. Why?

@YosemiteForest @huntisms @PokerNews @WSOP @PokerGO Just put a clock on everyone and give them time extensions like every other tournament series.
English

@DRodriguez425 @huntisms @PokerNews @WSOP @PokerGO Oh yeah- that guy shoulda had the clock called way before that. If anything they should allow the floor to hold the bust out placement when people are dragging their feet like that.

So much for the claim that Trump destroying the stock market and pushing US economy into recession would at least make housing more affordable.

@polidemitolog Sorry, what did the US pressure North Korea into exactly? Their nuke program continued unabated.

Keith Kellogg, special envoy of the US president, stated that Russia and Ukraine need to negotiate a settlement because "neither side will achieve all its goals," proposing that the $300 billion in frozen Russian sovereign assets could be leveraged as part of the deal. He also pointed to the shadow fleet, which transports a significant portion of the world’s illegal oil—70% of it through the Baltic Sea—as a potential target for disruption. Kellogg highlighted a precedent from Trump’s first term, when the US successfully pressured North Korea by cutting off its coal exports to China, suggesting a similar strategy could be applied here to force progress in negotiations.

@ChrisO_wiki @whstancil Do Russia, Belarus, Cuba and North Korea not have ISO codes?
English

@whstancil They seem to have used the ISO list of countries and territories. The giveaway is the appearance of Réunion, which is part of metropolitan France but has its own ISO code.

At the time of the Smoot-Hawley tariffs of 1930, which triggered the Great Depression, the U.S. accounted for more than a third of the global economy and dominated worldwide manufacturing. The U.S. today accounts for 14.8% of the world GDP in PPP terms, according to the IMF. Other countries can find ways around it.
Yaroslav Trofimov@yarotrof
The unpredictability of America for the foreseeable future is more serious than the tariffs themselves. Companies can’t make long-term decisions if policy is made and changed on a whim. Much of the rest of the world will respond by creating U.S.-free supply chains.
English

@Gerashchenko_en Iran is sanctioned just as heavily as Russia, but was included
English

President Trump announced reciprocal tariffs.
Russia was not included in that list.
Officially, the US stated that the new US tariffs do not apply to Belarus, Cuba, the DPRK, and Russia. The White House said that these countries are already subject to "extremely high duties" and that the sanctions prevent significant trade with them.
However, this may also be part of Trump's negotiation strategy:
◾️ Either you agree to some kind of peace format, or the 500% tariffs promised by Lindsey Graham will be imposed on all goods from countries that buy Russian oil.
◾️ The United States and Russia might be close to a possible signing of an agreement on "rare earth metals," which would not only allow American funds to enter Russian energy production, but also create trading houses for the sale of Russian sanctioned goods, primarily in the EU. This is a complicated process, as it requires the approval of the EU in the first place. But now, having imposed duties on EU goods, Trump can use it.
◾️ In the coming months, the EU will be negotiating with the US on tariffs, security and support for Ukraine.
◾️ Putin's actions suggest that he is going to continue the war. The main negotiating factor for Putin remains the subsoil deal.
The situation is getting more complicated.
