When stamping a name/phrase on a Bible, I usually check the spelling at least a dozen times. Yet it still feels like the letters are going to magically rearrange after the test stamp. Anyone else experience something like this in their profession? Or maybe I need help…

I’m not defending Democrats. I’m talking about Indiana Republicans, who have had control of state government for two decades. If the state has such a large surplus and a healthy rainy day fund, that raises the question: why were Hoosiers taxed more than necessary in the first place? Suspending the tax for a short period doesn’t change that. I’d rather see government collect only what it actually needs than over-collect and hand a small portion back when it’s politically convenient.

🚨 Governor Braun is again suspending ALL of Indiana’s gas tax. I'll be filing a bill next session to tax the money sent out of our country by foreign workers and use that to permanently cut gas taxes on Hoosier families. Fix our roads and let Mexico pay for it!

😀When I started going down to Hawthorne, Volvo wagons were all the rage, now it's definitely the Subarus. I think you hit the bullseye on that one, though we are down to 1 Subaru from 4, and just left the city...outgrew it all with four kids. Took my son to PDX November 25, he really enjoyed Wonderwood Mini Golf (St. John's), Buffalo, Silver Falls hiking, Oregon City vintage shopping, Japanese Garden and a McMenamins movie in Hawthorne. Love that you can fly in, use mass transit to downtown, walk everywhere, maybe rent a car for a day or two to see some state parks, then head home.

Worked there briefly in the early 2000's and have probably visited 20 times since. Agree with your analysis, it seems it's popularity/prestige/weirdness crested 10 years ago and it's on a slight decline now. Ridership of buses is usually strong when I'm there, but rail is weak. Neighborhood districts feel stronger than the downtown core for sure, especially since covid. Alot of vacancies downtown.

Hezbollah's stated mission is to eradicate Israel. HAMAS's stated mission is to eradicate Israel. The Houthis stated mission is to eradicate Israel. Iran's stated mission is to eradicate Israel. I have no dog in the fight, but I can understand why Israel is so paranoid and defensive. Imagine if Canada and Mexico's stated mission was to eradicate the United States?

Israel is a separate country.  Agree.  Its interests do not always align with ours.  Agree.  Israel was left out of the MOU negotiations and is not a signatory.  OK.  But damn it, it better accept and comply with every damn word of it, even if it means accepting Hezbollah on its border shooting missiles and drones into its country.  Uh, what?
