Wild stuff happening in Greenwood. Someone sent over an article about a planned 51-acre development in South Greenwood featuring a temple and community space. I drove by the site yesterday and there’s a sign up for “Gurudwara Shaheedan” billed as "Indiana’s first Sikh community development". They’ve also posted a 3D rendering on their instagram page of what the project could look like, and it’s a pretty large-scale buildout similar in concept to developments like Epic City in Texas. Naturally, I had to see if there is a trucking business attached to the address. Spoiler Alert there is and it was dissolved in April. Here is where it gets fun. The Incorporator's address for the Gurudwara Shaheedan Non-profit also a trucking business attached to it that was dissolved a few years ago. Even the Registered Agent's address has a trucking business attached to it. Using the @SearchCarriers map tools, I also checked how many trucking operations are registered in the general vicinity of the proposed site and it came back with well over 300. Our office, along with a 14-state coalition, is calling on the EPA to put tighter controls on the abortion-inducing drug mifepristone. This dangerous drug is flooding America’s waterways in growing amounts through chemically tainted medical waste from at-home abortions. Once flushed, it risks contaminating our public drinking water and puts everyone, especially pregnant women who accidentally drink even small amounts at risk.
This is a completely preventable threat that demands action and shouldn't be taken lightly.

The Biden Administration’s anti-coal policies continue to harm America’s energy sector, workers, and consumers.
Our office, along with 20 other states, is calling on EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin to immediately rescind the unlawful 2024 Electric Effluent Limitation Guidelines Rule. This rule lacks any sound legal basis and threatens to force more power plant closures, jeopardizing the reliability of our electric grid.
The rule imposes costly and unproven zero-discharge technologies on power plants. Those unable to comply face mandatory shutdowns—unless they stop using coal. The Biden EPA weaponized the Clean Water Act to advance its war on fossil fuels and effectively ban coal-fired power.
We will continue fighting to protect America’s coal industry and restore U.S. energy dominance. Our office stands ready to assist the EPA in this critical effort.

I voted for @SenJohnKennedy’s amendment to add these requirements to the filibuster-proof reconciliation bill, but it failed because radical Democrats care more about illegals than protecting our elections.

Today the 7th Circuit GRANTED our emergency motion and STAYED the preliminary injunction against our commonsense law (Senate Enrolled Act 10), which clarifies that college- and university-issued IDs cannot be used to vote.
Our voter ID law now fully applies again. Only secure, government-issued IDs like Indiana driver’s licenses are accepted at the polls.
This commonsense protection is needed to close loopholes, prevent potential fraud by out-of-state or ineligible voters, ensure every ballot belongs to a verified Hoosier, and preserve public confidence in fair, honest, and transparent elections.
We will never back down from safeguarding the security of our elections and the sacred right of eligible voters.

All Commercial Driver’s Licenses for undocumented immigrants in the state of Indiana will expire at midnight on Wednesday for those unable to provide proper visas.
Moving forward, all future non-citizen CDL applications will need one of three approved work visas while also requiring the driver to demonstrate proficiency in English. In addition, any employers who knowingly hire illegal drivers without a valid CDL will face a $50,000 fine.
This is a great first step in making our streets safer for Hoosiers. Now it’s our duty to enforce these new laws and prevent any more senseless deaths.
