@DanDicke @BaseballDudes48 I love the adults that claim they want their kids to “have fun” are the same ones that don’t let em call pitches. Calling pitches as a kid is prolly the most fun thing to do. lol. 🤷🏻‍♂️. People have no idea what they’re talking about.

One of my favorite people to talk to and pick his brain was Marcel Lachemann. Asked him one day what one of the biggest mistakes coaches make and his answer was… “Trying to attach their name to a players name.” In other words, try to claim some responsibility for a players success.

Great topic here! I was surrounded by baseball people that never wanted to take credit in anyway in reference to a players improvement or success. Now its a Tsunami of the exact opposite. Gurus posting videos of every hit or a runner thrown out. 👎

@bowtiedmeathead Travel ball has become so watered down in some areas that some little league teams could win mid-flight one day tournaments. The good leagues have 75% of kids playing travel by 12u.

My 12-year-old son plays Little League and travel baseball. The difference in skill level is obvious. And this isn’t even some elite travel team. One thing I noticed immediately: At Little League, a lot of kids get dropped off by mom. At travel? The dads are there. Every game. Every practice. 100% all in. That kind of presence shows up in the player. Playing catch. Doing soft toss. Driving to extra lessons. Paying attention. Yes, the kid has to want it… Yes, the kid has to put in the work. But let’s not pretend the better players don’t usually have more support at home. Call it correlation if you want. I call it being a great Dad… If you bring kids into this world, you should be there for them at every turn.

No. When Jeff Bezos pays a lower tax rate than a truck driver, the tax code is not progressive. It's rigged. Jeff Bezos Worth: $279 billion Tax Rate: 0.98% Truck Driver Income: $63,890 Tax Rate 8.4% Teacher Income: $69,860 Tax Rate: 9.8% Nurse Income: $98,430 Tax Rate: 13.3%
Jeff Bezos@JeffBezos

Yes, the United States has the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% pay 40% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of taxes. We can make it even more progressive by zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. It’s a small amount of the total tax revenue but very meaningful to people in this group.

I will never understand a sacrifice bunt with one-out. Someone please explain the logic behind it, because I can’t understand it. I’ve seen way too many coaches doing it, and it’s a losing strategy.

@JamesAbrenio The left doesn’t want gerrymandering banned. Due to the relative density of left leaning voters in urban areas, without gerrymandering Congress would be 60% right.

@strikeback46164 @joeroganhq Common fallacy. We did have a 90% tax bracket at one point, although no one actually fell in it. We also HAD to pay higher taxes because of the deficit to gdp coming out of WW2.

Our national debt is the greatest threat to our national security. The Iran war costs $1-2 billion a day. Farmers need billions to offset tariff losses. Storm damage needs billions more. None of it is paid for. All of it is borrowed. And Washington just keeps spending.
