Every other house in all major cities were hanging a flag that basically equates to saying fuck white men, for years. My own family and friends supported this nonsense. They have not changed, we cannot move on until they do.

Then I went home to wait for my layoff. Then I spent 6 months applying for jobs with no interviews because corporate America had banned White men in honor of Saint George Floyd, Patron Saint of Fentanyl. A great Twitter friend who I am indebted to forever got me a job with a 25% pay cut, and I had to work physically harder than I had in a decade. Anyway. Nobody in news media ever reached out for my story. And it wasn’t a unique story, I was one of a couple hundred thousand guys going through this.

Millions of people now minorities in their own country, jobs taken by immigrants and AI, a government that doesn't even pretend to listen to the people, a culture that turns men and women against each other, a currency that is printed from thin air, a housing market that is impossible to buy into. Why does this system still exist? The purpose of a system is what it does. What this system does is benefit the old and the weak. The young and the strong should consider the consequences of putting up with it.

When tractors revolutionized farming, they could do the work of 50 men. Efficiency went up and production costs went dramatically down. So the cost of food went to almost 0 right? Wrong. The cost of food kept going up and hasn't stopped going up. It's going to be no different with AI.

It's funny how AI has made white collar work 10x faster already but there's been basically no economic impact from it. The reason is quite simple: 1. Most white collar work is bullshit, so speeding it up by 10x still equals a pile of bullshit at the end 2. Most white collar employees are using AI to do all their work for the week in 4 hours instead of 40, whilst telling their manager the deadline is still 40 hours away We have been living in a fake economy for the better part of two decades. It is all a fugazi. People who do real jobs in the real world get paid comparatively crap, and people who do fake jobs in the fiat Ponzi world get paid just enough fiat currency to pretend they are important. None of it amounts to anything productive nor valuable for the world though. An entire generation doing fake email jobs, slide decks and excel sheets for corporations who ultimately produce nothing.

@imPenny2x You both do not understand that the current monetary system cannot exist in a deflationary environment. Deflation means the collapse of control, unfortunately they have a magic money printing lever that can guarantee deflation never happens no matter the abundance.

99% of people really do not understand abundance as Elon describes it. The fundamental reason is that they don’t understand compound growth. Same people who would probably pick 1 million dollars today over a penny that doubles in value every day for 30 days. It’s a bad choice by the way. You lose out on millions. Imagine if that doubling object was a labor producing robot instead of a penny. Compounding labor. It’s actually crazy if you try and wrap your mind around it. So Elon mentions Universl High Income and the midwits flip a lid. “The elites won’t share” You don’t get it. They won’t need to share. They will make everything so cheap, it is effectively free. Charities will have immense resources to distribute. Unfathomable intelligence will exist to help optimize production and distribution. An unfathomably large labor pool will exist that operates on solar power exclusively. The public work projects that are erected will be unseen before levels of breathtaking. I think we are incredibly blessed to steward this new age of abundance. Can you see it now? Can you see the future?
