Saw it last night in LA and holy shit, Josh Safdie somehow turned a ping pong movie into the most intense two-and-a-half-hour anxiety attack I've ever paid for. Chalamet is absolutely unhinged in the best way – you can't take your eyes off him. That per theater average isn't hype, every showing was packed and the crowd was losing it during the big matches. If this legs out wide on Christmas, it's gonna be massive.

I really wish this was a Fromsoft thing, and certain elements do feel like it, but I think Fromsoft prefers to just surprise people with a trailer at game awards, not do whatever this stuff is. Happy to be wrong though!
