I sent the grass fed beef you trust to the same lab as cheap supermarket beef, the results came back identical.
Two years, hundreds of hours of research, and thousands of dollars in feed trials later, we did what we were told couldn’t be done: beef that’s nearly 4 times healthier, with the marbling and flavor grass-fed can’t deliver.
Here’s the full story.
They told me I had to choose.
Grass-fed beef is healthy and tastes like cardboard. Grain fed beef is delicious and full of inflammatory fats that wreck your body. Pick one.
I refused. I wanted my family to have beef that did both.
The first time we tested our beef, the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio came back at 8 to 1. (Lower is healthier. High omega-6 in most American beef is linked to chronic inflammation.) NOT GOOD.
We got to work. We built a custom feed program from scratch. No corn. No soy. Those two ingredients alone are why most American beef has the wrong fatty acid profile.
We tried expensive ingredients, fish meal, kelp meal, every fancy thing on the market. Most of it was a waste of money. Along the way we learned that brown flaxseed beats golden flax for omega-3. We learned that pulling corn and soy out mattered more than piling omega-3 supplements in.
Eventually we landed on a clean five-ingredient feed: oats, barley, alfalfa, brown flaxseed, and minerals. That’s it.
Then we tested it again. We sent samples in, same lab, same week. Our beef, grass-fed beef from a leading national premium grocer, and standard supermarket beef.
🥩 Our beef: 3 to 1 omega-6 to omega-3
🥩 Premium grocer grass-fed: 11 to 1
🥩 Standard supermarket beef: 11 to 1
Our beef is nearly 4 times healthier on the ratio that matters. Almost 3 times more omega-3 than the premium grocer sample. And because we still finish on grain, just the right grain, it has the marbling and flavor grass-fed beef simply can’t deliver.
That’s not marketing. That’s hundreds of hours of research, thousands of dollars in feed trials, and a refusal to compromise.
